Yellow green beans can be safely consumed even by those who are contraindicated in the use of common grain beans. These beans are so tender that they are often called butter beans - the nutritious grains literally melt in your mouth!

This variety was classified in Lima - hence its name. In addition, these beans are also sometimes called butter or moon beans. Lima bean bushes can be large or small, and the color of the beans can range from white to almost black. As for the surface of the beans, it can be monochromatic and generously decorated with a wide variety of patterns. Lima beans are an excellent source of protein and a valuable preventive product against such a dangerous ailment as intestinal cancer. An impressive iron content will actively contribute to the processes of hematopoiesis in the body, magnesium will help restore and stimulate the circulatory system, and folate will become an indispensable assistant for a significant improvement in cardiac activity. What's more, when combined with thiamine, folate can help lower blood cholesterol levels.

This popular Indian variety also deserves the utmost attention. Small grains of mung beans differ from classic beans in their attractive oval shape. By the way, in Europe it has become very fashionable to use sprouted grains of such beans - tiny sprouts are eaten both independently and as an additive for complex salads. And since the sprouts of mung bean do not provide for any heat treatment, before starting to germinate the grains, it is necessary to subject them to the most thorough disinfection, otherwise you can easily earn E. coli. And, of course, boiled and fried mung bean dishes have not been canceled either - it is their hostesses who most often cook, and there are also many benefits from such dishes!
Kenyan beans
These beans are characterized by the presence of rather long and very thin dark green pods. The diameter of these pods rarely exceeds half a centimeter, and the taste of these beans is so delicate that you simply cannot help but like it! Kenyan beans are especially attractive in that in order to make them suitable for human consumption, it is enough to hold the pods in boiling water for only some four to five minutes! If, in addition to this, you want to preserve the bright green color of its valves, then at the end of the heat treatment, all the pods are carefully immersed in ice water for a few seconds. Kenyan beans have a slightly sweet taste, with an incomparable nutty aftertaste - thanks to this, they are very good in their own form, but most often they are still used as a side dish to meat dishes or as an addition to various salads. However, among all varieties of green beans, this variety will be the most expensive!
