It's getting warmer every day. And the auspicious time comes to arrange a rose garden on your site, if you have dreamed about it for a long time. So, what do you need to know in order for the queen of the garden - the rose - to reign in your garden?
Preparation of seedlings with a closed root system
First you need to prepare the seedlings. First of all, they should be examined. To do this, you need to cut all the strings around the roots and shoots, unwind them and release the roots.
If the roses were kept in warm conditions before, then such a surprise as young shoots growing from the roots may well await in the package. What to do with this growth? It is a pity, but if you are going to plant seedlings immediately, and it is still cold outside the window, then it is better to break off these sprouts. Because as long as there is a threat of recurrent frosts, they not only can die, but can also lead to illness of the entire bush. When it is already warm and safe enough outside, you can plant with young new sprouts, then the bush will sooner turn green.
In addition, a young shoot can be a wild growth, which in the future, and so it will have to get rid of. Therefore, one should learn to distinguish where the varietal shoot is, and where the wild boar is already growing. The place from which the growth was formed will tell about this. If it appeared below the graft, on the rootstock, then this is definitely a wild game. And you definitely don't need it if you don't want a rosehip to grow instead of a varietal rose. The plant is also beautiful and useful, but we are pursuing a goal for a friend. Well, when the sprout has developed above the root collar, above the graft, this is the place of thickening, from which the old shoots of the bush diverge, then these are already the shoots of the variety. You can leave them if the weather is favorable for disembarkation.
Soaking the roots and pruning the seedling
Next, the roots need to be soaked in a bucket of water so that they straighten and absorb moisture. Stimulants can be added to the water. By the way, melt water is excellent as a stimulant. How much to keep the seedlings in water - this must be decided based on the condition of the seedlings. When they are very dry, the roots can be kept in water for two days.
After soaking the roots, you need to once again assess the condition of the seedling and cut off all unnecessary, sick and unnecessary. Start at the roots. Cut off broken off, inanimate, damaged. Those growers make a mistake who break off the white hairs on the roots - these are thin suction roots and it is better to leave them so that the plant quickly takes root in a new place.
In addition, thin shoots can also be shortened. In general, they can be set at 12-15 sentiments - only so that it is convenient to hold the seedling for them during the planting process. Anyway, with the arrival of heat, dormant buds will wake up and new branches will grow.
Planting hole for a rose seedling
It is better to start planting on a cloudy day. But when the forecast promises many sunny days in a row, then this is not a problem either. Just stock up on covering materials that can shade a rose - even if you have worn-out shirts or old sheets on arcs or on a frame made of twigs, sticks, cut branches lying around in the country.
The rose pit is made about 50-60 cm deep. The seedling is recommended to be planted on a kind of mound at the bottom of the pit, so that the roots are well straightened. Planting level - at the root collar. This is done so that, after watering, the seedling sinks a little into the ground, and the root collar goes into the soil to a depth of about 3-4 cm.
When planting, water the seedling twice. Once, when the roots are half covered with earth. And the second time - when completely, so that the soil of the bull is evenly moistened and there are no air voids around the roots. After the second watering, add more soil around the seedling - this will protect the rose from the soil crust on the surface of the earth. And cover the seedling with a cut five liter.

Pampas Grass - A Decoration For Any Site
This herb is rightfully considered not only the most beautiful, but also the most capricious. Many summer residents and flower growers who tried to grow it at home failed.
