On weekends, having escaped from the hustle and bustle of the big city to the dacha, you want to relax in nature, listen to birdsong, admire the beauty of flowers. Everything here should be organic, so very often a country house is equipped in a rustic style or in a modern country style

City children are so eagerly awaiting their holidays to spend with their beloved grandmother. Where a warm stove takes up half of the kitchen, on the floor there are colorful homespun paths instead of rugs, bright elegant curtains on the windows. Such coziness helps to find peace of mind and unity with nature.

Dream

Adults also dream of their country house with a plot planted with beautiful flowers, fruit trees and shrubs, delicious vegetables straight from the garden. At the dacha, the interior in a rustic style will organically fit into the surrounding environment.

Plastic, glass, bulky furniture, chrome cabinets, modern chandeliers will look like alien objects here.

Following the fashion, city apartments are eventually furnished with more modern furniture, and the old ones are exiled to the dacha. This is how the interior of a country house is replenished. And if you look into your grandmother's closet or chest, you can find many more interesting things. This is how the dream turns into reality.

Distinctive features of the rustic style

If you think that it is enough to bring old furniture and the design is ready, then you are deeply mistaken. In such matters, it is better to first think over everything carefully, and then proceed to the implementation of the project.

The country style has the following features:

1. Calm, not bright colors.

2. Natural texture and small drawing.

3. Simplicity of lines and designs.

4. Natural materials.

5. Naturalness and natural beauty.

6. Nothing more. Each item has its own purpose.

Let's consider each position in more detail.

Colors and texture

The interior uses mainly muted bed shades: brown, beige, yellow, white, light green, light pink, blue.

Furniture and surroundings are selected based on contrast. If the walls, curtains, floor are light, then the rest of the items: carpets, sofas, wardrobes, tables are dark. Conversely, dark wall panels, beams are combined with light furniture.

The surface texture is chosen close to natural. If a tree is used, then they try to preserve its structure (knots, fibers, chips), covering it with a light varnish. Natural stone and brick are not plastered.

The curtains are sewn from chintz, linen, cotton fabric. Light colors, small flower or checkered pattern. The same principle is followed when choosing wallpaper.

Constructions

In the country style, only the correct forms are present. Furniture should not have an asymmetrical shape and curved lines. Chairs can be replaced with benches. Tables are predominantly rectangular or square in shape. Material - wood, vine, rattan. The presence of artificial substitutes that imitate natural ones (for example, laminate) is allowed.

Do not clutter rooms with a lot of objects. Let there be more empty space for free movement. Each thing should fulfill only its purpose. Multifunctional transformer furniture is not suitable here.

Nice little things handmade

Of particular value in the rustic style are handmade items:

• homespun paths;

• knitted napkins, tablecloths, rugs;

• embroidered with a cross or satin stitch, towels, pillowcases;

• wooden painted spoons, plates;

• clay mugs, dishes.

And if you are lucky enough to unearth an old samovar in an antique shop or from relatives, it will be a real masterpiece and decoration of your home.

Over time, we return to our origins, so we want to create coziness and a warm atmosphere in our house, as it once was with our beloved grandmother.
