The leaves of this plant will be oval in shape, or oval-lanceolate, or broadly oval, they are also smooth, whole-edged, dense and long-pointed, from above such leaves will be painted in green tones, and from below they will be paler. Amur lilac inflorescences are almost finite and rather large, they reach twenty centimeters in diameter, and their length is twenty to twenty-five centimeters. The flowers of this plant are colored in white or slightly creamy, they are on very short stalks and are small in size. In diameter, such flowers will be about five to six millimeters, and they are also endowed with a very strong odor. The calyx of this plant will be short and it is endowed with four teeth, and the corolla, in turn, has four blunt lobes. The fruit of the Amur lilac is an oblong and obtuse two-nested box endowed with white dots, and the length of which will be about two to two and a half centimeters. The seeds of this plant will be winged and flat, they are endowed with a very pleasant and rather strong smell.

This plant will last for about two weeks. It is noteworthy that the Amur lilac is one of the most drought-resistant and frost-resistant varieties of lilacs. It should be noted that the Amur lilac has the ability to easily endure urban conditions. Reproduction of this plant occurs through green cuttings and seeds, but the first two years the Amur lilac will grow slowly.

Amur lilac blooms during the period from the end of June to the beginning of July, while the seeds ripen in the month of August. Under natural conditions, this plant is found in the Far East: the Kurils, Primorye and Priamurye. For growth, Amur lilac prefers forests on slopes, places in rocks, shrubs along rivers and streams, as well as mixed forests. It is noteworthy that the Amur lilac is a very ornamental plant, for this reason the plant is recommended for landscaping in the Far East.

Amur lilac is endowed with very valuable healing properties, while for medicinal purposes it is recommended to use the inflorescences and bark of this plant. The presence of such valuable medicinal properties should be explained by the content of coumarins and flavonoids in the composition of the branches of this plant, while coumarins and flavonoids are present in the leaves, and alkaloids and 3-rhamnosylglucoside kaempferol are present in the flowers.

It should be noted that the Nanais use a tincture prepared with vodka based on Amur lilac bark as a very effective tonic. In Japan, an infusion based on the inflorescences of this plant is used for gonorrhea and as a diuretic. The Nanais use a similar drug for tuberculosis and as a tonic.
