Aloe cutter belongs to a family called vodokrasovye. In Latin, this plant is called as follows: Stratiotes aloides. This plant is floating and is found in various bodies of water.

As for the light regime, the aloe-like telores can develop well both in solar regime and in partial shade.

Under natural conditions, this plant is found in extratropical regions of Europe, as well as in Central Russia and southern Siberia. Aloeweed teloperez grows in lakes and ponds, sometimes also in swamps. This plant forms rather extensive and dense thickets.

According to its development cycle, this plant is perennial. Subject to all the necessary growing conditions, this plant will grow quite quickly. Actually, a single plant can even reach sixty centimeters in diameter in one season, while this plant will also suppress other plant species.

Description of aloe-like body cutter

Perennial herbaceous plants are partially submerged in water, where they will float freely or attach to the bottom with the help of rather long thin roots. The leaves of the aloe-like telores are rigid linear-lanceolate, while they are not divided into a separate petiole and into a plate. The leaves form a rosette, which is partially submerged in water. In appearance, the rosettes will resemble aloe: in fact, the plant owes this circumstance to its such name.

Rosettes of leaves spend the winter period of time at the bottom of the reservoir, and by the middle of next summer they form very long roots, which are very reminiscent of stilts. These leafy rosettes show up underwater and bloom over time. The largest flowers of this plant will consist of three petals, due to which these plants can be compared with water paint. By the beginning of autumn, the plant is again submerged in water. Perhaps this circumstance should be associated with the accumulation of calcium carbonate in the leaves, which will make this plant very heavy.

The flowers of aloe-like telores have decorative properties. As for the shape and color of the leaves, the leaves are dense green, and in length they can reach about fifty centimeters. These leaves are quite tough, as well as brittle, linear-lanceolate, with very sharp serrated-toothed edges. It is possible to cut yourself on these edges, which should also be borne in mind. The peak of decorativeness of this plant falls on its flowering period, which will last from June to July. The flowers themselves of the aloe-like telores are painted in white tones. Actually, flowers, like all other water-colored ones, will consist of six segments. In this case, three segments will be external and form a calyx, while the other three segments are internal, rather large, and also painted in delicate white shades.

Aloe-like telorez is a dioecious plant in which male and female flowers will be found on different plants. Stamen flowers emerge from the axils of those leaves that are on the pedicels, up to thirty to forty centimeters long. The pistillate flowers will be sessile. As for the size of the flower, this value reaches about four centimeters in diameter. The fruits of the aloe borer are polyspermous, which will have a fleshy pericarp.

For planting, you just need to put the plant into a pond. This plant is particularly resistant to winter temperatures, while only a completely frost-free reservoir is required, the depth of which will be at least eighty centimeters. It is worth remembering that this plant shows the greatest decorative effect when grown in partial shade and in clean water, which will contain lime.
