The common burdock is a perennial herb, endowed with a simple or slightly branched, erect and pubescent stem, the height of which, in turn, will fluctuate between thirty and one hundred and twenty centimeters. The leaves of this plant are intermittent-pinnate, while on top they will be smooth, and below they are pubescent and pale. The flowers of the common burdock are painted in dark yellow tones, they will be rather small in size, pubescent and gather at the very tops of the stems in rather loose and spike-shaped brushes. The fruit of this plant is a tenacious bristly achene. It is noteworthy that this plant is a very valuable honey plant.

The flowering of the common burdock falls on the period from June to the month of July. Under natural conditions, this plant is found on the territory of Russia, the Carpathians, Polesie and Moldova. For growth, this plant prefers meadows, forests and places among shrubs.

Description of the medicinal properties of common burdock

The common burdock is endowed with very valuable medicinal properties, while the roots and herbs of this plant should be used for medicinal purposes.
