The acidity of such soil can be either neutral or slightly acidic.

It should be noted that the forms of this plant with dark green leaves are recommended to be placed in partial shade, but those forms that are endowed with variegated leaves will need regular bright, but diffused light. It is also important to remember that the soil must always be in a moist state. It should be noted that the plant can begin to shed its leaves in the event that there are rather sharp temperature fluctuations or irrigation occurs irregularly. In some cases, the shrub poliscias can be affected by the scabbard and spider mite.

Throughout the entire dormant period, this plant will require a temperature regime of at least eighteen degrees. At the same time, watering itself and air humidity should be kept at a moderate level. The reasons for the occurrence of such a dormant period will be an insufficient degree of illumination and low air humidity, the dormant period will last from October to February. Reproduction of poliscias shrub occurs through rooting of cuttings. At the same time, it is important to maintain the temperature between twenty-five and thirty degrees Celsius, and the air humidity should be quite high. Experts also recommend the use of stimulants.

As for the specific requirements of this culture, the shrub poliscias will react extremely negatively to direct exposure to direct sunlight. It is always recommended to maintain air humidity at a level of at least sixty percent, and the temperature regime should be about eighteen to twenty-two degrees Celsius. The leaves of this plant are endowed with decorative properties, the length of which can reach twenty centimeters, and the slices of these leaves themselves will be very variable in shape.
