Description of the three-horned bedstraw

The three-horned bedstraw is an annual herbaceous recumbent plant, the length of which will fluctuate between ten and sixty centimeters. The stems of such a plant will be simple, tetrahedral, recumbent, and along the ribs they will be planted with long and sharp spines. The leaves of the three-horned bedstraw, six to eight pieces, are in spaced whorls, they are linear-lanceolate, the length of such leaves is about eight to twenty millimeters, and the width will be equal to one and a half to two and a half millimeters. The bracts of this plant will be lanceolate, paired and unequal, the length of such leaves is five millimeters, and the width will be about half a millimeter or one millimeter. The semi-umbrellas of the three-horned bedstraw are paired, axillary and three-flowered, they will not exceed the size of the leaves, while all peduncles and pedicels will be tetrahedral and thick, along the ribs they will be seated with thorns. The flowers of this plant will be bisexual, most often they are in semi-umbrellas. The corolla of the three-horned bedstraw is painted in cream tones, and its diameter will be about two and a half to three millimeters. The fruits of this plant turn out to be double, their length is equal to four millimeters, and their width is about six millimeters.

The flowering of the three-horned bedstraw occurs in the period from April to the month of August. Under natural conditions, this plant is found in Central Asia, Crimea, the Caucasus, as well as in the Black Sea and Upper Volga regions of the European part of Russia. For growth, this plant prefers places near roads, fields, gravelly slopes, railway embankments in the lower and middle mountain zones.

Description of the medicinal properties of the three-horned bedstraw
