The leaves of the gmelin wormwood will be glandular, bare or slightly pubescent, while such leaves are painted in green tones from above, and from below they can be either grayish or whitish-tomentose. In outline, the leaf blade of the gmelin wormwood is oval and double-peristomed. The baskets of this plant will be almost spherical, their width is about two to three and a half millimeters, they will be drooping and are in short brushes, and they are also collected in a more or less dense and narrow panicle. Pistillate marginal flowers in the amount of about ten to twelve pieces, and the corolla is narrow-tubular, punctate-glandular and glabrous. The flowers of the disc of this plant are quite numerous and bisexual, the corolla is conical and point-glandular, the length of such a corolla is one and a half millimeters, and at the top they will be endowed with a rounded and flat platform with a corrugated edge.

Description of the medicinal properties of wormwood gmelin
Wormwood gmelin is endowed with very valuable healing properties, while for medicinal purposes it is recommended to use the herb of this plant. Grass includes flowers, stems and leaves. The presence of such valuable medicinal properties is recommended to be explained by the content of bitter substances, flavonoids, ascorbic acid and sesquiterpene lactones in the herb of this plant. In the leaves of gmelin wormwood, in turn, there will be an essential oil, in the inflorescences there is also an essential oil, which contains isovaleric acid and azulene. The leaves and inflorescences of wormwood gmelin contain the flavonoid genquanin, umbelliferone, organic acids, scopoletin and carotenoids.
An infusion prepared on the basis of the herb wormwood gmelin is indicated for use as a very effective expectorant and antipyretic agent.
As for traditional medicine, it is recommended to use an infusion and a decoction, prepared on the basis of the herb of this plant, as a blood clotting accelerating agent, hemostatic and antihelminthic agent. In addition, such medications are considered palliative for anthrax and leprosy, and are also used for faster wound healing. A decoction based on inflorescences and leaves of wormwood gmelin is indicated for use in dysentery, enteritis and hemocolitis.
As a pain reliever, this herb is recommended for rheumatism, headache and gastralgia. The herb wormwood gmelin is used as an anti-inflammatory and decongestant for inflammation of the appendages of the uterus, dropsy and flu. An infusion based on the herb of this plant should be drunk with neurasthenia, loss of strength, various gynecological diseases and with delayed menstruation.
For diseases of the brain, the herb of wormwood is given to horses. It is noteworthy that in the course of experimental studies it was proved that drugs created on the basis of this plant will be endowed with a very effective choleretic effect.
