Mordovnik Gmelin is one of the plants of the family called Asteraceae or Compositae, in Latin the name of this plant will sound like this: Echinops Gmelinii. As for the name of the gmelin family itself, in Latin it will be as follows: Asteraceae Dumort. (Compositae Giseke).

Description of the gmelin mordovnik

The gmelin muzzle is an annual herb that will fluctuate in height between fifteen and thirty centimeters. The stem of this plant can be either simple or spread-out-branched at the very base. Such a stem will be endowed with quite numerous glandular-hairy stem glands, the length of which will be equal to two to five centimeters, and the width will be half a centimeter. At the edges, such a stem will be endowed with bare needle-shaped spines. The leaves of the gmelin scabbard are mainly lower, while on top they will be barely felt from long and matted hairs. The middle and upper leaves of this plant are endowed with glandular hairs on both sides, and on top they will be painted in green tones. The heads of the gmelin screech are painted in whitish tones, they are spherical, they can reach up to three centimeters in diameter, and such heads will be located one piece at the very ends of the branches. In this case, the outer bristles of this plant will be almost equal in length to the envelope, the leaves of the envelope are tiled and oblong-linear, while the outer ones will be pointed in an awn, and the inner leaves are fringed at the top. The fruit of the muzzle gmelin is a densely hairy achene.

The flowering of this plant occurs in the month of June, while the fruiting will take place in the month of August. In natural conditions, the gmelin mordovnik is found on the territory of the Altai region of Western Siberia. As for the general distribution, this plant can be found in China and Mongolia. For growth, the plant prefers sandy deserts and sandy-rocky soil.

Description of the medicinal properties of mordovnik gmelin

Mordovnik gmelin is endowed with very valuable healing properties, while it is recommended to use the inflorescences and roots of this plant for medicinal purposes.

The presence of such valuable medicinal properties should be explained by the content of alkaloids in the stems and leaves of this plant, while the flavonoid apiin will be in the flowers.

As for traditional medicine, here this plant is quite widespread. The decoction, prepared on the basis of the roots of the muzzle gmelin, is recommended for use in ulcers, stomach cancer, bone gum, liver echinococcus, and also as an antiemetic agent. It is noteworthy that as part of various medicinal preparations, this plant is used for diseases of the nose and throat. The infusion and decoction, prepared on the basis of the inflorescence of gmelin, is indicated for use internally for headaches, pneumonia, gastroenteritis and neurosis.

In chronic tonsillitis, it is recommended to use the following remedy based on this plant: to prepare such a healing remedy, you will need to take eight grams of crushed roots of the gmelin mordovna per three hundred milliliters of water. The resulting healing mixture should be boiled over a fairly low heat for about five to six minutes, then this mixture is left to infuse for about two hours, after which this mixture should be very thoroughly filtered. The resulting healing agent is taken on the basis of the gmelin muzzle three times in essence, one third of the glass. It is important to note that if properly prepared and taken, such a remedy will prove to be very effective.
