It should be noted that this plant is endowed with extraordinary attractiveness, thanks to which the hybrid cattleya is chosen by numerous lovers of indoor plants. This plant is not particularly attractive in terms of care, however, it is important to place the hybrid cattleya in a partial shade light mode. In the summer period, it is important for the plant to provide abundant watering, and the air humidity should be kept at an average level. The life form of the hybrid cattleya is a herbaceous plant.

This plant is very often found in indoor conditions, while light windows should be chosen for cultivation, and the only exceptions are north-facing windows. In addition, the hybrid cattleya is quite often grown in florariums, in display windows, as well as in winter gardens. The maximum size of this culture will be about fifty centimeters.

Description of the features of the care and cultivation of hybrid cattleya

As already mentioned, the hybrid cattleya does not differ in particular whimsical care, however, certain conditions should be created for growing this plant. It is important not to forget about the transplant, which should always be performed as the substrate becomes compacted and rotted. When transplanting a plant, care should be taken to avoid damage to the roots of the Cattleya hybrid. As for the composition of the soil, it is important to mix two parts of fern roots and one part of sphagnum, while it is important to add some charcoal as well. It should be noted that sometimes it is quite acceptable to replace the fern roots in the soil mixture with pieces of pine bark. Moreover, the size of such pieces should be about half a centimeter and one and a half centimeters, and besides that, it is important to add a few dry leaves to the pine bark.

It is also important to remember that, like all orchids, the hybrid cattleya will react extremely negatively to any change in the conditions of their maintenance. Throughout the entire period of rest, it is necessary to maintain a certain temperature regime: from fifteen to eighteen degrees of heat. Cattleya hybrid should be watered quite rarely, and the air humidity should remain normal. It should be noted that when growing hybrid cattleia in indoor conditions, the dormant period is forced: it begins in October and ends in March. Such a winter dormant period can be called quite non-standard, because usually the dormant period ends around the month of February.

Reproduction of the hybrid cattleya occurs through division, which should be performed even when transplanting this plant.

As for the specific requirements for the cultivation of this plant, you should regularly spray the hybrid cattleya, which also applies to the dormant period as well. In addition, wrinkling of the so-called pseudobulbs and leaves should not be allowed. This shrinkage occurs because the plant does not receive enough water.

Not only flowers are endowed with decorative properties, but also the leaves of the hybrid cattleya. In color, such leaves are green, in addition, they will also be quite tough and leathery. Leaves, one or two, are on the bulbs and are clothed in a lanceolate shape. The flowering of the plant can occur literally in any season of the year, which depends on the variety of Cattleya hybrid itself.
