Description of alfalfa

Alfalfa is a perennial herb with a thin rhizome and tetrahedral stems. Such stems of this plant can be either naked or hairy at the top. The height of alfalfa sowing will fluctuate between forty and one hundred centimeters. The stipules of this plant are half-fused. Alfalfa sowing leaves will be trifoliate and complex, they can be endowed with both elliptical and oblong leaves. The flowers of this plant are colored in blue-violet tones, which will be of the moth type in a shortened and sometimes even almost capitate raceme. The fruit of alfalfa sowing is a bean that will be spirally twisted in two or three turns, and its diameter will reach nine millimeters, and such a bean is also endowed with a well-visible network of veins.

Alfalfa bloom occurs during the period from late spring to autumn. Under natural conditions, this plant is found on the territory of Ukraine, Belarus, Western Siberia, in the south of the Far East and in the European part of Russia. For growth, this plant prefers crops, forest edges, steppes, wastelands, places near roads, and also occurs as a wild and weedy on dry meadows. It is noteworthy that this plant will be cultivated as a forage plant on the territory of Ukraine, Belarus and Russia.

Description of the medicinal properties of alfalfa

Alfalfa is endowed with very effective healing properties, while it is recommended to use the herb of this plant for medicinal purposes. Grass includes flowers, stems and leaves. It is recommended to harvest such raw materials throughout the entire flowering period of this plant, from June to July.

The presence of such valuable healing properties should be explained by the content of potassium, calcium, phosphorus, proteins, vitamin C and other useful substances in the herb of this plant. As for German folk medicine, alfalfa is widely used here. Most often, an aqueous infusion based on this plant is used here: such a very effective therapeutic agent is recommended to be used for various disorders of the thyroid gland, as well as for sugar disease. It is important to remember that it is recommended to beware of taking large amounts of medicinal products based on alfalfa, which is done in order to avoid the appearance of undesirable and negative side effects.

As a sedative, it is recommended to use the following very effective agent based on alfalfa sowing: to prepare such a healing agent, you will need to take one tablespoon of the crushed roots of this plant in one glass of boiling water. It is recommended to infuse the resulting healing mixture for about two to three hours, and then such a mixture based on sowing alfalfa should be very carefully filtered. The resulting medicinal product based on this plant is taken from three to four times a day, regardless of meals, one third of a glass or half a glass. It is important to remember that in order to achieve maximum efficiency when taking such a drug based on alfalfa, one should strictly observe not only all the rules for preparing such a drug, but also follow all the rules for its intake.
