Repair work should only be carried out in dry weather, while it is recommended not to do this even in very bright sun. In this case, the layer dries much faster, which contributes to a gradual build-up of strength.
Complete replacement of slate roof sheets
The most radical method will be a complete replacement of the slate. If you choose this option, then first of all it is necessary to dismantle the old sheets. In this case, remove the slate nails and all fasteners. In this case, the sheets should be lowered to the ground. Then you should study the rafter system, because a fungus can form on it or even rotting wood can begin. When examining wooden elements, you should look more closely at the rafters, because they are the main supporting structures.
