Carnation multicolored is one of the plants of the family called cloves, in Latin the name of this plant will sound as follows: Diantus versicolor Fisch. As for the name of the multicolored carnation family, in Latin it will be like this: Caryophyllaceae Juss.

Description of multi-colored carnation

The multicolored carnation is a perennial herb. At the same time, the stems of this plant in height can reach about twenty to fifty centimeters, such stems. Like the leaves, they will be pubescent, while the leaves of the multi-colored carnation are linear-lanceolate, and their length will be about three to five centimeters. The flowers of this plant are single, there will be four sepals, and their length will be about thirteen to eighteen millimeters. On the upper side, the petals of a multi-colored carnation will be painted in pinkish-purple tones, and on the lower side, the petals will be painted in greenish tones.

Flowering of this plant begins in June and lasts until July. Under natural conditions, this plant can be found in Western Siberia, as well as in the Angara-Sayan and Daursky regions of Eastern Siberia, and besides this, also in the European part of Russia: namely, in the Zavolzhsky, Volzhsko-Kamsky and Volzhsko-Don regions. Multi-colored carnations can also be found in Primorye and Priamurye in the Far East, as well as in the Aral-Caspian and Balkhash regions of Central Asia. For growth, this plant prefers steppes, meadows, rocky slopes, as well as pine forests and steppe forests.

Description of the medicinal properties of multi-colored carnation

The multi-colored carnation is endowed with quite valuable healing properties, while it is recommended to use the herb of this plant for medicinal purposes. The concept of grass includes the leaves, stems and flowers of the multi-colored carnation.

It should be noted that the chemical composition of this plant has not yet been fully understood. At the same time, saponins are found in the roots of this plant, but traces of alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins and vitamin C were found in the leaves and stems. Fresh leaves of this plant contain both carotene and ascorbic acid.

It should be noted that preparations based on multi-colored cloves are a fairly active uterine agent, which is recommended for use in metrorrhagia, uterine atony and in postpartum hemorrhage. A decoction or infusion of the herb of this plant should be used as a hemostatic agent for uterine, hemorrhoidal and gastrointestinal bleeding. Also, such funds are also used as abortive, as well as for nervous diseases, as a remedy for intoxication and for bites of rabid animals.

A decoction and infusion of flower baskets of multicolored carnation has shown its particular effectiveness in various heart diseases, as well as in nervous diseases, in convulsions in children, in hypertension, and in addition, also in hernia, suffocation, diarrhea, cough and headache.

As for traditional medicine, here a decoction of the herb of this plant is used as a gargle for tonsillitis. At the same time, such a decoction of the herb should be used internally for coughing, and externally it can be used as a poultice as an anesthetic for joint aches.

It is recommended to use the following remedy as an analgesic and antispasmodic: to prepare it, take the crushed herb of this plant, and then mix it with any vegetable oil in a ratio of one to ten. Then the resulting mixture is infused for ten days, after which it is thoroughly filtered. Such a remedy is taken about eight drops orally three times a day.
