Description of the crowded bell

The crowded bell is a perennial herb, the height of which will fluctuate between twenty and sixty centimeters. The stem is most often simple and quite often it can be reddish in color, also such a stem of this plant will be hairy and slightly toothed. The leaves of the crowded bell are ovate or ovate-lanceolate, while the lower leaves will be on long petioles, and the upper leaves are sessile. The flowers of this plant are rather small in size, bell-shaped and in intermittent inflorescences, and they will be painted in yellow-purple tones. The flowers cluster into a dense apical head and rather dense axillary buds. Up to one third of the crowded bell rim will be divided into lobes. The fruit of this plant is a box that will open with holes in the upper part.

The crowded bell blooms in the summer, from June to August. Under natural conditions, this plant is found everywhere in the European part of Russia, in Belarus, in Central Asia, in the Ukraine and in Siberia to Transbaikalia. For growth, the plant prefers forest glades, clearings, forest edges, steppes, places among shrubs, mountain slopes and meadows. It should be noted that the plant will not form dense thickets, but is most often found scattered.

Description of the medicinal properties of the crowded bell

The crowded bell is endowed with very valuable healing properties, while it is recommended to use the herb of this plant for medicinal purposes. Grass includes flowers, leaves and stems. It is recommended to procure such raw materials in the period from June to August.

The presence of such valuable healing properties should be explained by the content of carotene, quercetin, kaempferol, caffeic and coumaric acid in the plant. Ascorbic acid is present in the leaves of the crowded bell.

The plant is endowed with hemostatic, anti-inflammatory, sedative and analgesic effects. As for traditional medicine, an infusion is quite widespread here, which is prepared on the basis of the herb of crowded bell. Such an infusion is recommended for rinsing with various inflammatory processes occurring in the oral cavity, with stomatitis and sore throat, and also the infusion is taken orally with erysipelas, headache and heavy menstruation. For fever, atherosclerosis, aches, constipation, syphilis, glaucoma, gastralgia and atherosclerosis, it is recommended to use a decoction prepared on the basis of herbs and fruits of the crowded bell. Children with epilepsy are also bathed in this broth.

It is recommended to sprinkle the herb powder of this plant with lichens and panaritiums, compresses and poultices from the grass of the crowded bell should be applied to the dog bite.

For insomnia, it is recommended to use the following remedy based on this plant: for the preparation of such a remedy, you should take two teaspoons of the herb of the bell, crowded with one glass of boiling water. The resulting mixture should be infused for two hours, and then the mixture is filtered very carefully. Take the resulting remedy one or two tablespoons before the start of a meal. It is noteworthy that such an infusion can also be used for gargling.
