The leaves of this plant are ovoid, on top they are painted in dark green tones, and on the bottom they will be light green. The inflorescence of Maakia Amur is a dense brush, its length will be about fifteen to eighteen centimeters. The flowers of this plant will be on short pedicels, the length of which will be about three millimeters. The calyx consists of five sepals, while the upper two will be fused into one. The petals of the Amur Maakia are painted in white tones, their length is about ten to eleven millimeters, and the width is six millimeters. The beans are flat, they have three longitudinal ribs that run along the top edge, and they are colored dark brown.
The flowering of the Amur maakia occurs in July, and fruiting will take place in September. Under natural conditions, this plant is found in all regions of the Far East, with the exception of only Sakhalin and Kamchatka. For the growth of Maakia Amur prefers the banks of rivers, forests, edges, hills, plateaus, places among shrubs, meadow slopes, alluvial and deluvial rich soils. The plant is not only decorative, but also a very valuable honey plant.
Description of the medicinal properties of the Amur maakia
Maakia Amur is endowed with very valuable healing properties, while for medicinal purposes it is recommended to use the bast, bark and leaves of this plant. The presence of such valuable healing properties should be explained by the content in the composition of this plant of tannins, saponins, vitamin C and vitamin P, as well as the alkaloid lupanine and cytisine. As for traditional medicine, a decoction is quite widespread here, which is prepared on the basis of the bark of this plant. Such a decoction of the bark of Amur Maakia is recommended to be used as a pain reliever, and a decoction of the leaves and bark is used to treat tumors.
