Tea mushroom represents a rather peculiar multi-layered and rather thick fleshy-slimy mass, which is painted in dirty whitish tones. In Latin, the name of this plant will sound like this: Medusomyces gisevii. This plant has the ability to grow only under certain conditions. Actually, Kombucha is a mixture of acetic acid bacteria and yeast fungi.
Description of tea mushroom
The tea mushroom is also known under the following popular names: sea mushroom, tea kvass, Manchurian and Japanese mushrooms. Outwardly, Kombucha is very reminiscent of a floating jellyfish. From above it will be smooth, and from below it will be endowed with a fibrous-shaggy structure. It should be noted that strong brewed and fairly well-filtered black tea can be a very good breeding ground for kombucha. Such tea should contain about eight to ten percent sugar: about one hundred grams of sugar per nine hundred milliliters of tea. Already a month later, a rather thin delicate film will begin to separate from the surface of the kombucha, which should then be placed in a separate jar, designed so that the mushroom will subsequently reproduce there.
Kombucha was originally cultivated in India, Indonesia and Japan. Actually, for reproduction, either a new layer is taken, or small pieces from the old layers. Such planting material should be transferred to a jar of about two to three liters, such a jar should be filled one third of its volume with filtered sweet black tea. The jar must be covered with two to three-layer gauze, which will help to provide very good oxygen access.
Description of the medicinal properties of kombucha
The infusion of kombucha will contain the following organic acids: lactic, gluconic, acetic and carbonic acids, as well as vitamin C and other vitamins, wine alcohol, enzymes and a fairly large amount of minerals, aromatic and antibiotic substances. It should be noted that in terms of the amount of acids, the infusion of kombucha is equal to ordinary kvass. The very same medicinal properties of such an infusion will be directly dependent on the antibiotic effects of antibiotic substances and gluconic acid, which are in the infusion itself. As for the concentration of organic acids, it will depend on the duration of the cultivation of the kombucha, as well as on the conditions of its content and concentration in the sugar infusion.
An infusion prepared on the basis of kombucha will be endowed with analgesic, anti-inflammatory, tonic and antibiotic effects. In addition, such an infusion normalizes the activity of both biliary and digestive organs, and also has the ability to increase appetite. Such a remedy is quite effective in the sclerotic phases of hypertension, atherosclerosis, and can also very significantly reduce blood cholesterol and blood pressure, reduce headaches and pain in the heart. In addition, such a remedy based on kombucha can help get rid of insomnia, improve the well-being of patients and will be useful for various colds of the upper respiratory tract.
As for the external use of this remedy, it is used to rinse the mouth, pharynx, nasal cavity with various forms of angina, as well as for chronic tonsillitis and various inflammatory processes occurring in the oral cavity. By carefully rinsing the nasal cavity with the help of infusion of kombucha, you can get rid of chronic rhinitis, and washing purulent wounds with such a remedy will help their rapid healing.
