What is the use and what mushrooms to take?
To prepare useful fertilizers, you can take absolutely any edible mushrooms - champignons with russula, porcini mushrooms, boletus mushrooms with aspen mushrooms, etc. In this case, you can take both the mushrooms themselves (in case of their excess) and mushroom waste.
Fertilizers based on mushrooms help plants to quickly acquire a healthy look, noticeably accelerate their growth, make their flowering more abundant and lasting, and also contribute in every way to increase yields. And all this is due to the fact that mushrooms are very rich in a number of useful substances and compounds!
In a word, an excellent growth biostimulator is obtained from mushroom waste, however, such a solution can be used far from the entire season - the nitrogen contained in the mushrooms is necessary for growing crops only in spring and summer season, but no longer than July. So in the event that mushroom waste appeared later, it will be much more expedient to use them for composting (such compost will actively contribute to the creation of a healthy microflora for vegetables and any other crops, and will also help prevent possible soil acidification!) Or you can simply dry, in order to prepare a solution for soaking seeds from the dried raw materials with the onset of spring.
Cabbage with potatoes, tomatoes with cucumbers, phloxes, gooseberries with currants, sunflowers, apple trees and some other crops react especially well to mushroom dressings.
How to prepare a biostimulant fertilizer?
Mushrooms or mushroom waste is placed in a previously prepared container and combined with water in a 1: 1 ratio (of course, by weight, not by volume!). Leaving this mixture for a day, after this time, carefully filter it - the liquid formed during the infusion can be immediately used, and the mushroom mass can be used again to prepare a new top dressing.
There is another way to prepare a biostimulant - the chopped mushroom mass is put in a bucket, after which it is covered with a small amount of sugar, poured with water and sent to a warm place to infuse for three or four days. After this period, the resulting composition is filtered and diluted before use with water in a ratio of 1:10.
Each berry bush needs about two liters of ready-made solution for feeding, trees need three liters each, and flowering plants and vegetables are usually content with a volume of 200 or 250 ml. As for the frequency of use, the help of such a solution is usually resorted to no more than two or three times per season, while the last fertilization is in July, no later. By the way, not only plants are watered with such solutions - seeds are often soaked in them! However, it is better to prepare a solution for soaking seeds from dried mushrooms - 25 grams of raw materials crushed in a coffee grinder or in a mortar are poured with 200 ml of water and left to stand for a day, and then the solution is filtered through cheesecloth or a small strainer. As a rule, the seeds are soaked in the resulting solution for about six hours - this procedure will not only help accelerate seed germination, but will also have an extremely beneficial effect on the subsequent development of crops planted from such seeds!
Try using mushrooms or mushroom scraps as fertilizer and you will be pleasantly surprised with the results!
