Malinoclene or scented raspberries are rare in private gardens. The plant is very spectacular and worthy of attention from gardeners. Easy reproduction, unpretentiousness distinguish it from other crops. We will learn how to grow exotic berries
Requirements for living conditions
Light-loving culture, easily tolerates slight shading. Survives under the canopy of tall trees. It tolerates drought satisfactorily. Feels good on loamy, sandy loam soils with a neutral reaction of the environment. Positively responds to the introduction of decomposed organic matter.
Frost-resistant bushes practically do not need shelter. The exceptions are winters with little snow with frost, when it is better to bend the branches to the ground, securing them with iron pins. Sketch spruce branches or plant residues from annual flowers on top.
Selection
There are no domestic varieties of fragrant raspberries. There are 3 forms of overseas reproduction:
1. Tridel is a sprawling bush up to 1.5 meters high with pink light peduncles.
2. Albus - white-flowered version.
3. California - a tall plant up to 2 meters, raspberry-colored inflorescences up to 6 cm in diameter. Up to 20 sweet and sour berries are laid in one brush. Ripen in mid-August.
Breeders from different countries use the unique properties of raspberries: frost resistance, plasticity to living conditions, resistance to pests, diseases, - to develop new varieties of remontant garden raspberries.
Plantation laying
In the fall, they dig up the planting site of fragrant raspberries to the depth of the arable layer. After pre-fertilizing the soil with humus or peat. On acidic soils, lime fertilizers are added. The earth, which is heavy in texture, is loosened with sand.
In the spring, they dig a hole 15-20 cm deep. The distance between the rows is kept 80 cm, 60 cm in the furrow. Watered abundantly with water. A seedling is placed. Filled with soil, well compacted from above. Strong stems do not need support.
To limit the spread of root shoots in a certain space, obstacles made of slate, iron, glass are buried along the perimeter of the plantation to a depth of at least 40 cm. Large barrels are used for single plantings.
The second option for transplanting raspberries in early autumn. But spring dates are preferable.
Care
Timely watering will help the plants to open up in all their glory. Moisten the soil abundantly, once a week, pouring at least 10 liters of water under each bush.
They are fed twice during the growing season: during the opening of the leaves and the setting of berries. The first time they use any nitrogen fertilizer, the second - phosphorus-potassium (mix a matchbox of superphosphate with 0.5 glasses of ash, pour 10 liters of water, leave for a day). Rotted organic fertilizers are added every 3 years in the fall.
Sanitary pruning of bushes is carried out annually. Excess stem shoots, second-year branches that have borne fruit, and dried plants are removed. When the tops of the heads freeze, the shoots are shortened to a living place.
Beneficial features
The medicinal properties of malinoclene are identical to the forest relative. Berries and leaves have diaphoretic properties, reduce heat during colds.
Essential oils of all parts of the plant: soothe, fight inflammation, destroy pathogenic microbes.
Magnesium, potassium, iron, found in fruits, improve the work of the heart. The ancient Indians relieved the pain of women in labor during labor by using a decoction of leaves with cuttings.
Preparation of the tincture. One-liter dishes are filled with tightly freshly picked leaves, not reaching the top of 4 cm. Pour in vodka. Seal tightly. Put in a dark place for a month. During a cold, take 50 grams of tincture, wrap themselves in a blanket.
Preparation of the broth. A tablespoon of chopped shoots with leaves is poured with two glasses of cold water. They boil in the "bathhouse" for 10-15 minutes. Insist 30 minutes, filter the grass through a sieve. Take for bronchitis, cough after eating a third of a glass 3 times a day.
