The main thing is to push aside laziness, unpack the juicer, huddled lonely in the corner of the kitchen or standing on the highest kitchen shelf, and please yourself and your household with a refreshing vitamin drink.
Waste-free production
I like that in summer cottages, no food waste is sent to the trash can, contributing to the growth of urban landfills, which have turned into a scourge of cities, but continue to work to increase the yield of your gardening economy. Juice squeezing, thus, turns into a waste-free production: we send cleaning to compost; add vegetable cake to salads or prepare a side dish for a meat second; we drink the juice.
Rhubarb juice
The earliest "vegetable" is rhubarb. The juice from its stalks is rich in vitamins C and P, mineral salts and organic acids. Such a community normalizes digestion, blood circulation, and improves kidney function. But you can hardly drink a glass of juice from rhubarb alone, which tastes too strong. It is preferable to add it to other fruit or vegetable juices. A tablespoon of rhubarb juice makes a good addition to a glass of apple or carrot juice. You can add a spoonful of honey to them.
To obtain juice, rhubarb must be peeled, cut into pieces, and brought to a boil with water. Only after that we turn on the juicer.
Carrot juice
I love carrot juice for its bright, cheerful color; strengthening the immune system; maintaining vision tired of a computer monitor; increased appetite.
Carrot juice is especially useful for nursing mothers, while it is too early for babies to sip a glass of juice themselves. Through the mother's milk, all the beneficial properties of carrots will be passed on to the child.
Tomato juice
Someone's tomatoes are already beginning to ripen. A couple more weeks and you can treat your body to freshly squeezed tomato juice containing a full set of components useful for humans.
Tomato juice creates life comfort, contributing to the correct metabolism in the body, removing harmful toxins from it. It helps the body not to succumb to cancer, helps to regulate blood sugar levels. That is, tomato juice is also useful for diabetics.
Tomato juice is essential for the elderly because it has the ability to reduce intraocular pressure. It increases the amount of a special blood protein, hemoglobin, which protects the body from oxygen starvation.
If you add a little olive oil, crushed nuts or finely grated cheese to a glass of tomato juice, then the juice will be able to show all its useful qualities more vividly.
In the presence of a stomach ulcer or exacerbation of gastritis, it is better to refrain from juice.
Beet juice
Beetroot juice is a storehouse of beneficial elements that help fight disease and strengthen the cardiovascular system. It assists in the production of red blood cells, the vehicle for oxygen. But drinking it right after the spinning process is not worth it. Let him stand on the sidelines for a couple of hours and get rid of the oxalic acid. But even after that it will be better to drink it, mixing it, for example, with carrot juice.
Other vegetables
