The location is preferably sunny and open. Negatively, the culture refers to waterlogging, it requires regular, but moderate watering. Excess moisture inhibits the plants, in addition, it affects the abundance of flowering. The cultural one suffers from a lack of moisture no less, growth slows down, flowering becomes scarce and inconspicuous, damage by pests and diseases is possible. The considered species of Aubrieta grows well on rocky slopes with loose and nutritious soil.
Growing on acidic substrates is possible only under liming conditions. After planting the plants, the soil is mulched. Sand with a layer of at least 3 cm is used as mulch. Aubrieta reacts positively to the introduction of mineral fertilizers. During the season, it is enough to carry out 2-3 additional fertilizing with complex fertilizers. The introduction of organic matter, especially fresh, is highly undesirable. At the end of flowering, the aboveground part is cut off, leaving two-centimeter stumps above the ground, which are covered with a thick layer of dry fallen leaves with the onset of frost. Pruning is optional and plants overwinter well with it. It is carried out in order to prevent overgrowth.
