You know the complexity of preparing cabbage for stuffed cabbage. What kind of relief can a microwave oven give us? It turns out that the microwave will do an excellent job of preparing the leaves and softening them.

First option

This method is great for young cabbage, the leaves of which are quite tender. The head of cabbage is prepared for cooking in the usual way: washed, removed the top leaves, removed the damaged ones. Now take out the pan in which you can place the selected forks. Pour half of the cold water into it. We turn to the microwave. Lay the cabbage stump side down and turn it on. The fastest way is to prepare the sheet using a sleeve or baking bag. It takes only 4 minutes to cook. Place the head of cabbage in a bag, fasten with clips or tie. We make several holes and send them to the oven. After 4 minutes, remove and put under cold water. The leaves are now soft and easy to separate from the stalk. If, nevertheless, the base of the sheet remains harsh, fold it on a plate in a stack and repeat heating in the microwave. Two minutes will be enough.

Recipe for stuffed cabbage with cheese

The proportions of ingredients are calculated per kilogram of cabbage. Minced pork and beef 600 g (20 + 400), onions, tomatoes, rice, cream and carrots 200 each, cheese and vegetable oil 100 g each. Garlic, dill, parsley are also added. Salt and pepper to taste.

Then, as usual: prepare the sheet, wrap it up, fry it, send it to the oven. For the filling, we use minced meat, boiled rice, herbs and onions. For the sauce, fried onions and carrots, cream, garlic, peeled tomatoes. Boil the sauce until thick. Before baking, add the filling / sauce and sprinkle with grated cheese in a mold with cabbage rolls.
