But before that, the cuttings must be allowed to dry out a little. If the shoot was removed from the aloe in the morning, the cuttings are transplanted in the afternoon. A drainage layer must be arranged in the pot. Aloe is very sensitive to moisture and dies if it is abundant in the soil. For prophylaxis, the cut of the cuttings is treated with crushed charcoal.
