A home first-aid kit is a faithful assistant not only for our health, but also for garden work: it turns out that some medicines can heal not only a person, but also garden crops! With the help of medicines, you can not only successfully cope with pests and ailments - in some cases, they will also become a valuable feeding! The main thing is to know what kind of drugs they are and how they should be used

Iodine

This is a great helper for the full development and for adequate fruiting of growing crops. By the way, this component can often be found in the composition of a huge amount of fertilizers used at the height of the growing season - it is especially useful during the budding period and at the start of fruit setting. Iodine perfectly helps to cope with dangerous fungi and pathogenic bacteria, as well as with such ailments as gray rot, late blight, which is extremely dangerous for plants, and downy mildew.

A weak iodine solution (one droplet diluted in three liters of water) is an excellent replacement for industrial foliar dressing - this dressing is especially useful for cabbage seedlings, as well as eggplants, cucumbers or tomatoes. This planting solution is sprayed twenty days after the appearance of the first shoots. And then the feeding is repeated after planting the seedlings in the ground.

Some summer residents successfully use iodine for the prevention of the ill-fated phytophthora, prudently hanging open bottles in greenhouses. And this method is worth trying too!

It can become an excellent alternative to garden brew - brilliant green not only excellently disinfects wounds, but also contributes to their early healing in every possible way: a cotton swab or stick is moistened with brilliant green, after which they wipe the sections on fruit shrubs or trees. Various cracks on the stored pumpkin, as well as rotting parts of stored gladiolus bulbs or dahlia tubers, are processed in the same way. It is not forbidden to process small cuts formed on plants in the process of pruning with brilliant green.

Brilliant green will also be an excellent helper for cherries - in this case, it will contribute to the best fruit setting. All that needs to be done is to dissolve two teaspoons of brilliant green in five liters of water and spray the cherry trees immediately after flowering.

And brilliant green is also useful for getting rid of downy mildew on onion plantings, as well as on pumpkins and zucchini with cucumbers: for this, 5 ml of a one percent solution of brilliant green is dissolved in ten liters of water and the plantings are sprayed with the resulting solution every seven to ten days. True, brilliant green will give the best effect only if you catch an ailment in the early stages of its development.

Aspirin

With the help of aspirin, you can prevent the development of rot, which often appears on the leaves after prolonged rains. For the prevention of spraying with an aspirin solution (for four and a half liters of water, they take 300 - 500 mg of aspirin) are carried out two to three times a month.

Hydrogen peroxide

In the absence of potassium permanganate, it is quite acceptable to disinfect seeds with 3% hydrogen peroxide. Peroxide is poured into a bowl (the container should never be metal), heated to forty degrees and the seeds are immersed in it for only ten minutes. And at the end of the procedure, the seeds are washed with water and dried.

Metronidazole

It not only effectively repels insects, but also perfectly copes with all kinds of infections. And best of all, metronidazole has proven itself in the difficult fight against cladosporiosis and late blight. To overcome these ailments, fifteen to twenty metronidazole tablets are dissolved in ten liters of water and, starting from mid-June, potato and tomato bushes are sprayed with this solution every ten days. It is important to remember that the prepared solution must always be fresh, that is, it is prepared a maximum of twenty minutes before use.

Metronidazole also helps from the black leg - to combat it, one tablet is diluted in a liter of water and immediately proceeds to spraying the seedlings.
