Rationalism should be present in every business. It would seem that it is difficult here, planted plants, reaped the harvest and wait for the next season. But you can use most of the beds 2 times a year. Now I will tell you how to turn a dream into reality
I have a small garden. Arable land of about 5 acres in total will be typed. The main part of the area is occupied by perennial crops. What remains has to be used to the maximum. Every piece of land counts. Therefore, recently I have been practicing mixed planting or sowing fast-growing crops in several terms.
Many gardeners go out into the garden when the soil dries out thoroughly. Be afraid of early crops: "What if the plantings die?" Returning spring frosts in our area, according to long-term data from the meteorological station, occur until June 14. Most sit and wait for favorable weather. Only the most desperate go out in the snow. At a time when the bulk of the population is just starting sowing, the "pioneers" already have the first fresh vegetables and herbs on the table.
Step-by-step use of the beds
In Central Russia, greenhouses made of cellular polycarbonate or glass, film shelters help out. With their help, the season starts a month earlier. First of all, cold-resistant crops are sown: radishes, dill, lettuce, parsley, celery, all types of cabbage for seedlings. Harvesting begins in 1, 5 months from germination. The squares are vacated by mid-May. You can occupy them with other vegetables with a long growing season.
The second stage is followed by:
• all types of cabbage for summer, autumn, winter consumption;
• dill, lettuce, basil;
• onions for herbs or turnips;
• tomatoes cucumbers;
• peppers, eggplants;
• zucchini, pumpkins, melons, watermelons;
• potato;
• Strawberry;
• perennial or annual flowers (they grow in my beds, since there is no room for separate flower beds yet).
Combining separate crops in one place
With proper planting, rows of large-fruited strawberries are placed far from each other. Usually two-line technology is used. Two stripes are brought together after 40-50 cm, then a wider gap of 80-100 cm. In these gaps, onions are planted on greens or turnips. When the strawberry whiskers are formed, the onions have already finished their growing season. In late July - early August, it is carefully pulled out. Freeing up space for new berry rosettes.
Planted by alternating rows of corn and cucumbers. The first culture supports the second, helping to save space. Cucumbers do not creep along the ground, but tend upward.
Mixed plantings of onions and carrots mutually heal each other, scaring away pests from neighboring crops (onion and carrot flies). After harvesting the first vegetable, the second continues to grow in the vacated area.
Almost any crop, except for cabbage, potatoes, pumpkin, can be compacted with green crops (onions, lettuce, dill). Harvesting early ripening vegetables as needed.
This method works when planting perennial and annual flowers. Early blooming tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, crocuses disappear along with the greens by the beginning of summer. Making wide aisles, I plant the intervals with seedlings of annuals that bloom all summer. Getting two "harvests" per season. Keeping the place always beautiful.
As you can see, it is not difficult to use land plots with maximum benefit. Planning the crop rotation in advance, you can easily get two, and when growing early ripening vegetables, and three harvests per year. For example, early spring sow radish, then onion for turnip, then radish or daikon. Film shelters extend the growing season not only in spring, but also in late autumn. I wish you record harvests and successful mastering of new technologies!

Cashew Fruit - Two In One
Milk-colored nuts, which today have ceased to be exotic on Russian trade counters, called by the beautiful and incomprehensible word "cashew", are only part of the fruit of the tree of the same name. Of course, the plant has an official Latin name, which is much longer than the more common name "Cashew", and it sounds even more mysterious than the short one. The second part of the fruit of this plant is a juicy "apple", which in its natural form is not suitable for export travel

A vicious weed or forage plant can take a worthy niche in the diet if you get acquainted with their nutritional and medicinal qualities. Having enriched your table, they will not require large financial investments, but at the same time they will provide an invaluable service to the well-coordinated work of all bodies
Two Summer Recipes From Vegetables And Garden Herbs
After a long winter, I want to include fresh spring greens in the menu all the time, day after day. But you should be careful and not overdo it. Some of the plants have contraindications. Dishes made from these healthy products are best prepared for lunch shortly before serving (they do not take more than 30-45 minutes to cook) or for dinner - with herbs, fresh vegetables, lemon juice and aromatic sauces
April Crops Of Early Crops
Many vegetable crops have already been sown for seedlings in the winter in early spring. And what to do with yourself in April, while eggplants and peppers with tomatoes are waiting for relocation to the beds? Is it really worthless to lose a whole month? Experienced gardeners know that this is one of the most important months of the year when you need to lay the foundation for getting your first vitamins from your garden. While vegetables with a long period of development are waiting for their turn, their free areas should be used for obtaining early crops. Sown
Green Crops In The Garden. Part 2
Green crops, as a rule, are resistant to cold weather, give a green vitamin harvest in a short time, but there are also more thermophilic ones among them, as well as plants with a longer growing season. First, let's remember those who are not afraid of the cold and give several harvests over the summer, due to their early maturity
