I really love the aroma of cinnamon and use it both in baked goods and in mulled wine. Sometimes I just pour a little on a saucer in the kitchen, and immediately from its smell it becomes somehow more comfortable. But it turns out that cinnamon is not only a pleasant aroma, but also an excellent help to our garden. What is it used for?
1. Treatment of fungal diseases and mold. Fungus is, perhaps, one of the most unpleasant and dangerous misfortunes for our garden and vegetable garden. It takes root well both on trees and in the soil, preventing plants from growing well and developing correctly, and even leads to their death. What to do? If the fungus has settled on the plant itself, then carefully clean it off with a garden knife (if the fungus is actively growing and developing and occupies a rather large area, then its removal is mandatory, if only it starts, then you can not remove it, but immediately proceed to the next action) and sprinkle with powder. If the soil in pots or pots is contaminated, then, of course, it is best to replace the soil there. But if for some reason this cannot be done, then, just as in the presence of fungus (or mold) in the garden, add cinnamon to the water and water the soil in the garden or in a flower pot. You can sprinkle it, but then the spice will remain on the surface of the soil.
By the way, cinnamon helps not only in the treatment of fungus and mold, it is an excellent tool for the prevention and treatment of many other diseases, therefore, even if you do not have mold or mildew, it will still be far from superfluous to water the beds once or twice a season. cinnamon solution.
2. Helps get rid of ants and other harmful insects. Despite the pleasant (for humans) aroma of cinnamon, harmful insects, including ants and various midges, really do not like the smell of this spice. Therefore, in order to get rid of annoying insects, you just need to carefully sprinkle cinnamon powder on the bed that you want to clean from the "living creatures". If the ants "attacked" a particular tree in the garden, just sprinkle the powder around its trunk.
3. It is an excellent stimulant for better rooting of cuttings. Yes, cinnamon not only heals and repels insects, it also helps plants to take root. And to use it in this, as in all other cases, is very simple: just before planting, sprinkle the stems of the cuttings with the powder obtained from this spice. Sprinkle the place that you will lower into the ground.
4. It is a powerful fungicide used to treat plant roots during planting. If you go to plant a lot of seedlings at once or plant a large number of seedlings (yes, in principle, not necessarily a large one) and protect their roots from various diseases, as well as help "take root" in a new place, then prepare a simple solution (it is better to cook at night): For 1 liter of water, you need 20 grams (or 2 tablespoons) of cinnamon powder, 4 crushed tablets of the most common aspirin. Gently mix aspirin with cinnamon, cover with water, stir so that there are no undissolved lumps. And let the mixture brew for 10-12 hours. Ready to use. If you plant trees, then the roots of the cuttings should be dipped in the solution for 1, 5-2 hours. I usually lower the roots of the seedlings for a couple of minutes, this is enough (yes, I checked this recipe, it works, the seedlings take root faster and easier). Then we plant everything in the ground as usual.
Here is such a universal remedy, ordinary cinnamon, which is found in almost every kitchen: it heals, and repels insects, and helps to grow. And you will get all this for relatively little money.

Rhubarb: Not Tops, Not Roots, But Petioles
While fruit trees and shrubs are just beginning to bloom and form tight ovaries, those who grow rhubarb in their garden harvest thick juicy petioles in May. It would seem that such a special thing can be prepared from these strange huge sticks? If you have never tasted rhubarb before, be sure to cook compote with it, make dumplings or bake a pie. Believe me, having tried it once, you will be glad that rhubarb is a perennial plant, and in the next 7-10 years it will give more
