Decor for glass tabletops, shelves

Prepare wide duct tape, spray paint, degreaser, marker, utility knife. We work on the seamy side and for this we turn the tabletop over. To remove dirt and grease, we treat it with alcohol (acetone, vodka). Depending on the chosen project, we partially or completely cover the glass with electrical tape. It is important to ensure a snug fit so that the paint does not drip or seep under the coating layer.

We apply the drawing by hand with a marker or work with a prepared stencil. Then we make cuts along the contour. The pattern can be transparent or colored, so we release exactly those parts that need to be toned. We spray the paint, after drying we enjoy the result. By the way, in this version, gilding and silver tones look good.

Painting on glass

Multi-colored lamps, glass on the veranda, in the doorway, in bookshelves, and kitchen cabinets will effectively change the interior space. For such creativity, you will need vinegar, water (100 ml), gelatin (5 g), felt-tip pens or food colors, waterproof varnish.

Gelatin is diluted according to the instructions in warm water and combined with dyes. The paint can be obtained from dried felt-tip pens, for this remove the cap, drop the vinegar on the rod, let it drain into the gelatinous mass. Each color is prepared separately. On clean glass, draw the outline of the pattern with a marker. You need to paint with a warm solution using a brush or a spray bottle. To enhance saturation and brightness, you can apply a second layer after drying. After drying, the drawing is varnished.

Broken glass decoration option

Interesting compositions using broken glass attract attention and fit into any interior. The method is used to decorate pots, jars, bottles, plates, vases and old dishes.

For work you will need glue like "liquid nails", broken glass. The method of application resembles creating a mosaic or collecting puzzles. Most often it is an improvisation with shape and color. If necessary, you can paint some elements with acrylic paints. It is also a good idea to combine glued shards with beads, shells, rhinestones. Colored glass broken in the form of powder is suitable for decorating lamps and any glass, it is used to create stained glass patterns. This coating looks gorgeous in the sun, in doorways, on window panes, in kitchen shelves. In any case, the resulting coating is fixed with varnish.

Door glass decor

The drawing is selected according to the style of the interior. The color palette should be fairly restrained, usually the monotony of one or two colors. Designers do not recommend including more than 3 shades and most often suggest placing elements at the edges or corners. Glass paint is applied through the holes in the stencil by spraying.

Another way is to cover the glass with a self-adhesive film; there is a large assortment of stained glass films on sale, with a rich pattern and transmitting light. This is the fastest and easiest way to decorate. The difficulty lies in the uniform distribution of the material, without distortions and the formation of bubbles. If the air still remains under the film, you need to make a puncture in this place with a needle and smooth out a soft cloth for complete adhesion.

Glass decoration with plasticine

The detailed method is used to decorate a child's room and is usually performed in conjunction with the child. With the help of multi-colored plasticine, you can decorate photo frames, create panels, stained glass windows, make vases for flower arrangements from cans.

The process is quite simple: the selected drawing or pattern is applied to the glass, colors are selected and, according to the pattern, are distributed over the surface. You can smear with your fingers and a plastic spatula. Subjects for performance: floral patterns, landscapes, fairy-tale characters, frames from your favorite cartoons. If you have made a picture, then it can be placed in a frame decorated with salt.
