Traditional topiary
The classic method used by our ancestors is still popular today. It is formed by the traditional method from a suitable plant by cutting off unnecessary branches and clipping. Consists of two varieties.
Trimming by eye
This method is based not only on the eye, but also includes a number of simple devices that can carry out a high-quality haircut. To facilitate the work, use rope, paint, slats, chalk. This equipment helps to achieve clear lines, maintain accurate direction. Ideal for the formation of geometric shapes, straight lines.
Trim to frame
The method used for rounded shapes and sculptural pieces. The basis is a shrub with a dense crown, which grows well after pruning. The existing material is used or young bushes are specially planted in the base of a removable or stationary frame. The formation takes place in stages and consists of cutting the growing shoots that go beyond the outline of the frame. This option is available to everyone, does not require design skills and professional skills. It is important to choose the right planting material, buy or make a frame.
Peat sculpture
The principle is based on the creation of dense vegetation from varieties of moss, creeping plants with fine textured foliage. The final form is a green sculpture of any size and shape. For work, a model or frame (sphagnum) is made for filling with a mixture of peat with sawdust. This is the basis for growing green mass. For vertical compositions, several parts are created, which are attached with special clamps.
