Lush carnation is a perennial herb that can range in height between fifteen and sixty centimeters, with a bare stem. The leaves of this plant are linear-lanceolate, and at the edges they will be rough, and also sharp, they are endowed with three to five veins. There can be from one to nine flowers, these flowers are endowed with very pleasant aromas, and the calyx of lush carnation flowers is painted in purple tones. The petals of the plant can be either pink, purple, or pink-purple. The flowering of this plant occurs in the period from June to the month of July.

Under natural conditions, lush carnations can be found in the Far East, Central Asia, Eastern and Western Siberia, as well as in the European part of Russia, and besides this, also in the Dnieper and Verkhnedneprovsk regions of Ukraine. For growth, this plant prefers dry floodplain meadows, forest edges, as well as sparse forests, and in the mountains it can rise even above the forest belt.

Description of the medicinal properties of lush cloves

Lush carnation is endowed with very valuable healing properties, while it is recommended to use flowers, rhizomes, roots, seeds, fruits and grass of this plant for medicinal purposes. The concept of grass includes the stems, flowers and leaves of a lush carnation.

Such valuable medicinal properties are due to the content of alkaloids and tannins of pyrocatechol derivatives in the herb of this plant, as well as the following flavonoids: homoorientin and orientin. It is noteworthy that traces of alkaloids are found in the rhizomes, roots and stems of this plant. In this case, the leaves of the lush carnation will contain traces of alkaloids and saponins, while the flowers of this plant will contain traces of alkaloids, flavonoids and saponins.

In folk medicine, a decoction of the roots and rhizomes of this plant is used for various heart diseases, as well as a very effective remedy with the ability to strengthen hair. At the same time, the infusion and decoction made from the herb of this plant should be used as a hemostatic agent for hemorrhoidal and uterine bleeding, and besides this, also for convulsions in children and with nervous diseases. In addition, such funds are also used for fainting, epilepsy, eclampsia, as well as for gonorrhea and headache. Also, this tool is also effective as a regulator of the menstrual cycle, as well as for dermatoses and for washing the eyes.

It is noteworthy that in Japan, the decoction of the fruits of this plant is used for diseases of the bladder, but the decoction of the seeds is used as an anti-inflammatory agent. Moreover, in Chinese medicine, such a remedy is used as a diuretic, as well as for dysmenorrhea and helminthiasis.

In Russia, the infusion of the herb of this plant has been used since ancient times for choking and coughing, and the decoction of the seeds itself was used as a diuretic, and in addition, it was used for dropsy, nephritis and painful urination. As for the infusion of seeds and herbs, this tool was used to wash the eyes, and also as an anti-inflammatory agent. Clove oil was also used in Russia: this oil is made from flower buds. However, for internal reception, such a remedy was not used.
