An infusion made from herb loosestrife is used in folk medicine for hemoptysis, bleeding, dysentery, convulsions, gastritis, bloody diarrhea, and also as an antiscorbutic agent. With regard to external use, you can use the herbal infusion in the form of baths and poultices for articular and muscular rheumatism and scrofula. Also, through the infusion, you can wash wounds, rinse your mouth with an unpleasant odor, as well as with inflammation of the mucous membranes of the oral cavity.
The fresh grass of the plant should be ground into a slurry, after which the resulting mixture can be used as a poultice for the treatment of edema and wounds. Crushed leaves must be applied to the infected areas of the body for arthritis, gout and rheumatism.
For dysentery, it is recommended to prepare the following decoction: one tablespoon of herbs for one glass of boiling water, then the resulting mixture should be infused for two hours, and then strain this mixture. Take two tablespoons three to four times a day.
