A lot of fables have been heard about this fruit, who say that it is a hybrid of melon and grapefruit, who say that this is a new species of mandarin, but all this is a misconception about this fruit. Yes, pomelo is a representative of citrus fruits, but it is not at all tangerine and not a hybrid of melon and grapefruit, but a completely separate fruit

Cultivation and varieties of pomelo

Initially, the pomelo was grown in China, southeast Malaysia, Asia, as well as on the islands of Fiji and Tonga. At the present time, the pomelo is successfully cultivated in many warm countries. The huge size of the fruit cannot but attract attention. Pomelo is an evergreen tree that can reach 10-15 meters in height and bear fruit up to 10 kilograms. Impressive!
