Climbing roses usually bloom wildly in June-July. These charming flowers bring life to even the coldest and most unremarkable surfaces. In addition to aesthetics, they give an indescribable scent and help create shade. For roses with long shoots, they usually acquire a different type of support (more often an arch). But there are other ways to shelter this type of rose in the garden.

1. Gazebo

A gazebo covered with flowers is a classic option for climbing roses. In such a place of rest it is very cozy and romantic. The gazebo can consist of one bench with a high back and a canopy with roses, or it can be a whole arch with two benches opposite. To secure roses, it is advisable to use strong plastic wires or bundles.

2. Balcony

To add romance to the balcony, you can also decorate it with a climbing rose. Before planting under the balcony, you need to dig a hole with a circumference of at least 60 cm and a depth of about 45 cm. Compost manure and foliage are placed in it. The most "energetic" variety of roses is selected, capable of growing well and quickly upwards. Some varieties, with a favorable climate and proper care, reach 12-15 meters in height. They have a wide range of shades: from pale yellow to bright red.

3. Fence

A forged fence or even a chain-link mesh can also transform climbing roses. It is recommended to fix flowers on the fence in the form of a fan, so that the rose blooms evenly both from below and from above, forming a beautiful rose tree. The best choice for such a decoration of the fence will be varieties of roses that have abundant color, flexible and strong stems (for example, the variety "Paul Scarlet").

4. Garland

Any garlands are associated with the holiday. Why not donate it to your garden and organize the growth of climbing roses in the form of a garland, launched along the fence or through a specific area of the garden? For this, two pillars are usually taken, the tops of which are connected to each other using a long support (rope, chain or heavy-duty wire). The highlight of the idea is that the support is not fixed, but simply suspended in the form of a ribbon with a garland of roses "strung" on it. It looks very impressive and elegant.

Climbing roses are often used to delineate outdoor buildings into separate spaces (for example, in a summer dining room, veranda or patio), or to decorate the walls of a house. But at the same time, it is undesirable to decorate wooden buildings in this way, so that over time their facade does not begin to rot. The main task is the correct selection of suitable varieties of roses in size and competent pruning of roses. You need to fix the branches of flowers at a distance of at least 2.5 cm from the wall to ensure air circulation, thus preventing the formation of mold and its harmful effects on plants and humans.

Roses are very fond of sunlight, so it is not recommended to plant them on the north side of the walls. If you place them opposite the eastern or southern sides, warmed by the sun's rays, you can enjoy a lot of large flowers. So they will be reliably protected from the north cool winds.
