Everyone dreams of such a comfortable room in the country as a dressing room. A large space where all the necessary things and objects are located in neat rows. At the same time, the space of the rooms is freed from unnecessary furniture. As an example, consider one real project of such a room
Location
In the passage room we fence off a small niche. We erect a frame from a wooden bar. We trim it with cardboard on both sides. We cover with 2 coats of primer, rub over the unevenness with putty. We carefully cover the screws. Remove the unevenness of the mortar with a sandpaper. We paste over with wallpaper.
There is a double benefit from our reconstruction: the rooms become isolated, there is a place for a dressing room measuring 1.5 * 1.5 m. Its area is almost equal to three standard wardrobes. Can you imagine how many things can fit in this space? !!
Layout
At the wall farthest from the entrance, we erect a rack made of a wooden bar measuring 5 by 5 cm. We evenly distribute the height into 6 shelves. Before assembling, we process the wooden base with a plane, paint it with white paint (this color makes a dark room lighter).
We fasten the bars together with long bolts and nuts. For reliability, we use 3 racks: two at the edges, one in the middle, so that the shelves do not bend under the weight of things. We fasten the supporting structure firmly to the brick walls with self-tapping screws and dowels.
We install plywood with a thickness of 8 mm on the frame, having previously covered it with a self-adhesive film. It is convenient to wipe it with a damp cloth, the clothes do not cling to the side cuts of the base. The depth of the shelves is 55 cm.
In a furniture store we order compartment doors. With a standard ceiling height of 2, 6 meters, a prefabricated canvas is suitable so that over time the structure does not bend. We attach the guide rails to the ceiling and floor.
In the store we buy a metal tube with fixtures. We cut it into pieces. The result is a coat hanger at a height of 2 meters. The structure has 3 points of support: brick wall, central rack of the rack, floor. For short clothes: jackets, shirts, trousers, blouses, it is possible to equip another lower tier.
We cover the floor with linoleum. It is convenient for damp cleaning of the dressing room.
Allocation of space
The bottom shelf is the floor, you can force it with heavy objects: cans with blanks for the winter, repair kits, a sewing machine. It reliably withstands any load. We allocate the second and third tiers for everyday wear, bed linen.
The fourth shelf is located at hand level. We assign it to books, notebooks, textbooks, photo albums, magazines. Here we attach a light bulb with protective glass, illuminating the entire space of the dressing room.
The fifth and sixth tiers are occupied by boxes with seasonal items. Summer suits are not needed in winter, so we put them away for storage. It is inconvenient to place casual clothes at a height of more than 2 meters.
We select the boxes of the same size, we number them. We enter the data on the contents of each box, the layout on the shelf in a notebook lying next to it. Records help you quickly find the right thing.
From above, we cover all the items with a common fabric, which gives the tiers a neat look, or we sew separate small curtains on each shelf.
It is more rational to pack clothes on hangers in separate special bags. Jackets, coats, raincoats can be covered with a large cotton cloth on top so that things do not become dusty. Place boxes of shoes under the hanger.
From the outside, such a dressing room looks like a wardrobe. Guests will not guess that all the "treasures" of your home are hidden there. By arranging a separate "room for things", there will be no need to buy wardrobes, space for other rooms will be freed up, furniture will be present in a minimum amount.
In such a simple, relatively inexpensive way, you can solve the global problem of placing a large number of things in a small space. A dressing room in the country is a godsend for the whole family!
