What does an insulated attic in the country give? Firstly, energy saving and heat retention in the house, if the country house is used during the heating season. Second, additional living space that you can use as you see fit. Thirdly, it will simply be nice and cozy here. So, it's decided - we insulate the attic and make it residential
Constructive approach to attic insulation
In this case, you need to insulate the roof itself. The best option for insulating it is mineral wool. Its main advantage is good heat retention and fire safety of this building and finishing material.
Insulation of the attic should consist, if you trusted our information, of the following layers of finishing materials:
• 1 layer - a vapor barrier with a special vapor barrier film;
• 2nd layer - insulation, in this case mineral wool;
• 3rd layer - hydro-barrier (this is also a special waterproofing film).
Let's dwell on each layer of attic insulation separately.
Vapor barrier for attic insulation
With the help of this layer, an obstacle arises from the flow of moisture in the form of steam from the inner warm room into the next layer - into the insulating one, that is, in this case, into the mineral wool.
Thanks to this layer, the insulation does not get wet, does not accumulate liquid in itself, does not reduce its thermal insulation properties. Due to dryness, fungus and mold will not appear on it.
It is important to install the vapor barrier in the attic so that there are no leaks anywhere. This is done with a stapler, applying a layer of insulation at the joints of about 10 cm. The joints are additionally fixed with construction tape. This should be a layer not made of ordinary plastic film, which is fragile and subject to fragility. The vapor barrier layer consists of a special, slightly rough material to the touch, designed specifically for vapor barrier of the interior of the house and the roof.
Insulation for a warm attic
This is the most important layer in the attic insulation. Stocked up with rock wool rolls or slabs for it? In this case, keep in mind that you need to fill with them all the voids of the attic, its hard-to-reach places. There will be such "gaps" between the laying of mineral wool, there will be freezing in them, moisture ingress, and this, in turn, will lead to cold places in the attic, moldy roofs, and so on.
If the insulation is not thick enough, then its freezing can also take place successfully. The thickness of the insulation should be good. Moreover, if the structures of the attic do not allow laying min-plates of the proper thickness, it is necessary to additionally increase the thickness of these structures, mount an additional frame with the help of wooden blocks and lay insulation in it, as expected.
The insulation is laid not close, but freely. If the attic has an exit to the balcony or to the street, and also if the attic has an exit to the roof in the form of a hatch, then these places are insulated especially carefully. Also, if required, a sealant is used in these places.
Waterproofing layer under the roof itself
The last hydro-barrier layer in the attic is provided to protect the insulation from moisture that can get on it from the street through the roof. The waterproofing layer is more porous than the dense vapor barrier. Such a nuance is needed so that moisture in the insulation or accidentally got there can still evaporate. But water from the outside, in turn, will not be able to get from the street to the insulation, thanks to the waterproofing.
A good waterproofing film must be moisture-proof, vapor-proof, UV-resistant. When laying this final layer for insulating the attic, a gap should be left between this layer and the roof covering for additional ventilation and timely moisture removal.
Finally
As you can see, this way the attic can be perfectly insulated. Then it's up to the interior finishing materials that need to be finished around the attic. You should also take into account such points as the conduction of electrical cables in the room, it is possible to bring sewer pipes into it. You may also want to install warm floors here. And this will require a special floor covering. But this is already a topic for the next article.

Grounding In A Private House
The conductive system (grounding) has a multifunctional meaning, it is an obligatory part of the electrical system of suburban housing. Protects against electric shocks when working with a faulty appliance, protects electrical appliances when operating in a humid environment (broilers, washing machines, instantaneous water heaters). It removes the level of high-frequency magnetic interference produced by the power grid and household appliances, preserves the functionality of equipment, and performs a fire-fighting function. Thermal Insulation Of A Wooden Floor In A Country House
Everyone knows that in cold weather, in a heated room, sometimes the feet freeze. This often depends on the construction of the floor, which has one row of planks laid on joists. Even if they are additionally covered with chipboards, linoleum, this will not prevent cold penetration into the house - insulation is needed. The most practical way to keep your home warm is with a properly made floor. Let's look at several options for floor insulation and work methods
