Smooth cruciata is a perennial herb that will fluctuate in height between eight and fifty centimeters. The rhizome of this plant is long and thin, and it will also be branched and creeping. The stems of the smooth cruciate are numerous; they can be either ascending at the base or straight. In addition, such stems will be simple, densely pubescent, tetrahedral, while rarely they can be bare. The leaves are in spaced whorls of four, they will be oblong-elliptical in shape, their length will be about fifteen millimeters, and their width will be five millimeters. Such leaves are also sessile, they will be endowed with three veins. The semi-umbrellas will be axillary, they are shorter in length than the leaves, five- and six-flowered. The flowers of the smooth cruciate are found in the branches of the umbrella with two bracts, which will be very similar to the leaves, but much less of them. The diameter of the flowers of this plant will be two to three millimeters in diameter, they are endowed with ovoid and sharp lobes. The fruits of the smooth cruciate will be endowed with one mericarp, they are smooth, spherical and glabrous, and their diameter will be about one to one and a half millimeters.

The flowering of this plant occurs in the period from May to June. in natural conditions, the smooth cruciate is found in the Caucasus, Belarus, the European part of Russia in the Ladoga-Ilmensky region and the Volzhsko-Don region, as well as in the Altai region of Western Siberia and the Angara-Sayan region of Eastern Siberia. For growth, this plant prefers places among shrubs, forest glades, stony placers, forest edges, grassy slopes, meadows, pine, oak, beech, and birch forests. It is noteworthy that the smooth cruciate is also a very ornamental plant.

Description of the medicinal properties of cruciate smooth

Smooth cruciata is endowed with very valuable healing properties. a decoction prepared on the basis of the herb of this plant is recommended for use as a hemostatic agent, as well as for prolapse of the rectum, metrorrhagia, bleeding with hemorrhoids, dyspepsia, hypertension. In addition, such a remedy will also be effective as an antiemetic in children. It should be noted that the rhizomes of the smooth cruciate can give a red color.

With cirrhosis of the liver, it is recommended to prepare the following remedy based on this plant: to prepare such a healing remedy, you will need to take three tablespoons of chopped dry herb cruciate smooth into two glasses of water. The resulting mixture should be boiled for about three to four minutes over low heat, after which this mixture is left to infuse for two hours and filtered very carefully. Take the resulting healing agent based on smooth cruciate three times a day, two to three tablespoons before the start of a meal.

When vomiting in children, it is recommended to use the following remedy based on smooth cruciate: to prepare such a remedy, take one tablespoon of dry crushed herb of this plant in a glass of water. The mixture is boiled for two minutes, insisted for an hour and filtered. Take such a remedy based on smooth cruciate two to three times a day, one teaspoon.
