Description of the features of growing a plant

As for the light regime of growing, the Kalanchoe degremon will need to provide either a solar regime or a partial shade regime. In summer, moderate watering of the plant should be ensured, and the air humidity should be kept at an average level. The life form of the Kalanchoe degremon is a leaf succulent.

This plant is recommended for growing not only in indoor conditions, but also in general premises on the lightest windows. During the summer, this plant can be used to decorate balconies. Also, this plant is an excellent element with which you can create very beautiful pictorial compositions and groups consisting of other succulent plants. Quite often, the Kalanchoe degremona is also found in winter gardens and greenhouses.

As for the maximum size of this plant in culture, it can even reach seventy centimeters. The plant will need to be transplanted every two years, and it is recommended to use pots of standard proportions. As for the composition of the earthen mixture itself, the Kalanchoe degremon requires the following soil: one part of sod and leafy soil, as well as one second part of sand. The acidity of such soil can be either neutral or slightly acidic.

It should be remembered that the plant is able to stretch quite strongly: for this reason, the Kalanchoe degremona will need to be pinched. It is important to take into account that the plant may develop corky growths both on the leaves and on the stems. Such an unpleasant circumstance can occur due to the fact that the temperature regime will be low, and rather sharp fluctuations will occur not only in the humidity of the air, but also in the soil. In the event that the air temperature and soil moisture are elevated, the Kalanchoe degremona can be affected by rot. The plant can quickly become a weed on the window, because the Kalanchoe degremona can scatter the so-called brood buds over all the pots that are close to the plant itself.

Throughout the rest period, the optimal temperature should be kept at the level of ten to fifteen degrees. At the same time, throughout this period, the air humidity should be medium, and watering the Kalanchoe degremon should be extremely rare. Under the condition of growing Kalanchoe degremon in room conditions, the dormant period becomes forced and arises due to the fact that the air humidity and illumination turn out to be low. This dormant period will last from October to February.

Reproduction of the plant most often occurs with the help of brood buds, which are formed on the leaves. Much less often, the reproduction of Kalanchoe degremon can occur through rooting of apical cuttings. It is important to note that for the favorable development of this plant, it will be necessary to provide it with moderate watering and fairly bright lighting. Both the leaves and the flowers of Kalanchoe degremon are endowed with decorative properties.

The leaves reach about twenty centimeters in length, in shape they will be elongated-elliptical, and also fleshy, sometimes such leaves fold along their midrib. In color, the leaves of Kalanchoe degremon are grayish-green, below they have purple spots, the leaves themselves are bare, endowed with brood buds, the formation of which occurs along the edge of the leaf.
