For growth, this plant prefers meadows, forest edges, stony, meadow and steppe slopes, as well as wetlands, forest glades, sparse forests, shrubs and alkaline river banks both in the middle and upper mountain belts.

In Tibetan and Mongolian medicine, the herb of this plant is considered one of the main drugs for various diseases of the hepatobiliary system, for cholecystitis, cystitis, liver diseases, which will be complicated by pneumonia. In Tibetan medicine, this plant is used as part of various complex preparations for acute endocarditis, diseases of the stomach and kidneys, septic conditions, as well as chronic and acute infections. In addition, such drugs are also effective in malignant tumors, laryngitis, malaria, neurasthenia and burns, as well as a means that will regulate metabolism. In Mongolian medicine, the valuable properties of this plant are used as antipyretic agents, which is especially true for infectious diseases.
