From 22 to 26 April Pereslavl will host the 1st in the history of our country international aeronautics festival “Friendship of peoples. Pereslavl. Spring - 2020”20 hot air balloons, 20 teams from different countries. Invitations were sent to pilots from Armenia, Belarus, Hungary, Georgia, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Ukraine, Czech Republic

The expected number of viewers is 10,000.

The flights take place in the most beautiful places in the center of Russia, the Golden Ring: Lake Pleshcheyevo, Pereslavl-Zalessky, 5 monasteries, dozens of churches, earthen ramparts of the 12th century, a picturesque private sector and a quiet river Trubezh.

The general launch of balloons, mass flight is a very large-scale spectacle. The size of 1 balloon with a 5-storey building. Therefore, several central TV channels traditionally shoot reports at our festivals, dozens of bloggers are present at each start.

Why Pereslavl-Zalessky? Our city is one of the centers of Russian aeronautics. The summer festival "The Golden Ring of Russia" has been held since 2002; rich experience and traditions in organizing and holding events have been accumulated. Very beautiful places: Lake Pleshcheyevo - the pearl of the Non-Black Earth Region, 5 monasteries, earthen ramparts, picturesque villages with churches, forests and fields with wild animals. Unlike the Moscow region, we can fly high, the permitted altitude is up to 1100 m. Our flights are one of the most beautiful in Russia. There is something to show foreigners!

Why spring? One of the tasks is to extend the tourist season. And in aeronautics, and in general in Pereslavl, there is a pronounced seasonality, the bulk of guests come from May to August. At the end of April it should already be green and warm, we hope to attract tourists to our city. Traditionally, the festival is attended not only by those wishing to fly, but also hundreds of those who just want to look at a large-scale spectacle - the general launch of balloons, ride in a hot air balloon on a leash, up and down in the evening.

Event format: free flights of balloons in the morning and in the evening. We are planning 18-20 balloons. All flights with a common start. We raise the balloons at the same time, if the weather permits, we are in no hurry to fly away, we stand, we pose. After lunch on the territory of "Azimut Hotel Pereslavl" rest "Open air": nature, gastronomy, souvenirs, animation for children and adults. In the evening, music and tethered balloon rides.

How to take part in the festival? It is free to look at the general start, take pictures, communicate with the teams, you do not need to make a reservation, you need to come to any pre-flight briefing according to the festival program and, together with the teams, drive your car to the place of the general start. It is not known in advance, the flight route is determined at the briefing.
