The Almighty, creating our planet, sowed it with numerous plants, which He awarded not only with a picturesque appearance, but also with healing abilities. After all, he understood that his most important Creation - man, would turn out to be the most unfit for life on Earth, and therefore worried about creating various helpers for his more favorable life outside of Heavenly Paradise. He presented some healing plants with flowers with yellow petals, as if scattered small suns on the surface of the earth, reminiscent of paradise life
Spring adonis or spring adonis
Plants of the genus Adonis (lat. Adonis) are divided into annuals and perennials. Moreover, as a rule, the flower petals of annual species are colored red, symbolizing the blood of Adonis, the son of the Cypriot king from the myths of Ancient Greece. Since any earthly sorrow is short-lived, plants with red flowers are allowed a one-year lifespan, in the same way as widows and widowers are given exactly one year for mourning. As Seneca, a Roman philosopher who lived in the first century AD, explained such a mourning period, that "a year for mourning is given not because it is no longer possible, but because it is no longer needed."
Therefore, the species of Adonis with yellow sun flowers, rejoicing in light and life, are perennial plants. Some botanists manage to distinguish perennial Adonis in a separate genus of the Buttercup family, giving it the Latin name - "Chrysocyathus", which literally translates as "Golden Cups", or more simply - "Yellow Flowers".
However, the majority of botanists include the perennial Adonis in the genus Adonis, among which the spring Adonis or Spring adonis stands out for its special picturesqueness. Its stunted stems bear almost threadlike narrow leaves, giving Adonis the appearance of young pines. With the mighty Pines, Adonis also has in common longevity. Of course, Adonis is far from the Bristlecone Pine, individual individuals of which live from three to five thousand years, but for a herbaceous plant, the age of one hundred years, which distinguishes the individuals of Adonis found in the wild, is impressive and delightful.
The fruits of Adonis and Pine are also similar, having the shape of cones. Only the size of Adonis cones is tiny compared to pine cones. But you will not find such large golden flowers adorning the tops of the stems of Adonis in the Pine.
The beauty of Adonis vernalis coexists with the healing power of the plant. The range of these forces is wide. Medicines, which are based on the healing abilities of the Spring adonis, calm the nervous system, help to normalize blood circulation, remove stones from the kidneys and bladder, and soothe rheumatic joint pains.
St. John's wort
Many herbs used by traditional healers, official medicine likes to ignore, looking at them skeptically from the height of its scholarship. This attitude does not apply to St. John's wort, a very modest outwardly plant. St. John's wort is held in high esteem even by official medicine, which recognizes it as a remedy for "99 diseases" (a figure similar to modern store prices).
On the erect branching stems of St. John's wort, there are simple whole leaves, which do not pay much attention to themselves by their appearance. But, do not rush to pass by. The leaves are generously endowed with glands, dark and light, concealing the healing power of the plant. During the flowering period, the bushes acquire a golden-yellow floral outfit that can decorate any flower garden. The plant is perennial, so it will not cause much trouble for the gardener, generously sharing its beauty and healing powers.
A wide range of healing abilities of Hypericum perforatum. Infusions, tinctures, tea from the St. John's wort herb will soothe the nervous system shattered by the bustle of everyday life, slow down the inflammatory process, destroy harmful microbes and quickly tighten the wounds on the skin, accelerate the elimination of bile, and also increase the overall tone of the whole body.
