Any plants require care. If you want to get a good harvest or a beautiful flower bed, then you have to work hard: plant, weed, water. And it is imperative to apply fertilizers so that the plants in the garden or flower bed receive all the nutrients necessary for proper growth and development. But many people do not like "chemical" complex fertilizers. Even in flower beds. What to do? How can we feed our flowers to get beautiful greenery and abundant flowering?
Il
It can be obtained wherever there are bodies of water. And although it has a specific smell, it is a good source of nitrogen and organic matter, and also helps to improve the structure of the soil. As a fertilizer, sludge is used both in pure form and in a mixture with peat, compost or purchased soil. The best is considered to be a mixture of peat with any potash or phosphorus fertilizers (including natural ones). Silt is introduced into the soil in the fall at the rate of 8 kilograms per 1 square meter.
Meat, meat and bone or blood flour
There is a plant near Rostov-on-Don that produces this flour. And it seems to be far from the highway, but when you drive in that area, the smell in the car's interior is very specific and, to be honest, not very pleasant. At the same time, despite this small defect in the form of a smell, the flour itself is very useful for any garden. Any flour contains nitrogen (in the meat, the nitrogen content is 9, 2%, in the blood 14, 3%, and in the meat and bone 3-5%), phosphorus (in the meat up to 3, 3%, in the meat and bone up to 5, 9%, in blood 1%), also in meat and meat-bone meal contains calcium, up to 4.5% and up to 11, 6%, respectively. And in the blood there is no lime, but there is a little potassium, only 0.8%.
Any of the above types of flour is used as a liquid top dressing, for this it is diluted in water. The fertilizer works quickly and quite powerfully, stimulating the development of buds, flowers and vegetative organs very well.
Please note that you should not buy too much flour, since it is not stored for a very long time, after a rather short period of time it begins to emit an extremely unpleasant strong smell. Therefore, purchase it immediately before use.
Manure
This is perhaps the best organic fertilizer for any flower bed. It is suitable for use on all types of soil and contains almost all trace elements and nutrients necessary for good growth, development and flowering. The only thing missing is phosphorus. Therefore, if you plan to apply only manure, then you will have to add phosphorus-containing fertilizers to it, for example, superphosphate.
It is advisable to apply manure to the soil not fresh (you can destroy all the plants), but in the form of compost. You can additionally mix it with peat and add phosphorus-containing fertilizers to this mixture (or to clean compost from manure). For 1 square meter, you need about 5 kilograms of well-rotted manure. But if you are only planting a flower bed, and the soil on the site is poor, then you can double the amount of fertilizer.
Bird droppings
Another great source of nutrients for any plant is bird droppings. It contains nitrogen, potassium and phosphoric acid. It is added to the soil in the spring, very carefully distributing it over the flowerbed in a volume of no more than 0.5 kilograms per 1 square meter. Make sure that the fertilizer is scattered in a thin layer, without heaps, otherwise you can simply "burn" the plants on the site.
By the way, the droppings can also be applied in liquid form. To do this, pour about a kilogram of droppings into a 10-liter bucket of water, stir and let it brew for 2-3 days. Then add 1 liter jar to a bucket of water and water the flowers.
Soot
Usually used in a mixture with manure or poultry droppings, especially when used as a liquid feed. The soot contains nitrogen, phosphoric acid, potassium and lime.
It can also be used dry as an independent fertilizer, carefully scattering it in a flower bed around flower stems.
With this care, the plants will bloom magnificently all summer and delight the eye with bright colors.
