Citric acid is even cheaper. Dilute 3 grams of acid in 100 grams of water. You can find it at any grocery store. But only steel can be healed with this mixture. It is noteworthy that corrosive plaque can be removed with strong tea leaves or a Coca-Cola drink.
Sharpen the old tool
After getting rid of the rust, it's time to sharpen it. Because the inventory will dull not only summer jobs, but also medical vaccines with which you got rid of corrosion. You can restore sharpness in one of the following ways: with a sharpening stone (it is better to wet it, this will improve sliding), special electric sharpeners, a polishing wheel on a grinder or a file (watch the uniformity of the edges, do not apply strong pressure, and after sharpening, treat the tool with oils).
Tips for summer residents
- It is wiser to spend 3-5 minutes cleaning inventory immediately after work, than then kill the energy and time to restore it;
- Solvent or kerosene will help to remove all foreign matter from the pruner or scissors;
- Before sharpening, soak the instrument in sodium chloride dissolved in water. He will become more malleable;
- It is better to store tools in cases, they can be made from an old rubber hose or from burlap.
Even a small room is sufficient for storing garden tools. It is important that the barn is dry and has electricity to make it easier to find the right tool.
