The origins of breeding
Wild-growing predecessors of modern hybrids:
1. Zmeinogorskaya (Serpentimontanus). A low-growing perennial up to 10 cm in height. The buds are purple-pinkish with a yellow center with a diameter of 3-4 cm.
2. Tolmacheva (Tolmatschevii). Completely yellow inflorescence with a diameter of 4-5 cm with a bushes height of 10-15 cm.
3. Vierhapperi. It is 35 cm tall. Pinkish buds with a yellow center open in June-July. More cold-resistant species, found in Western Canada, Eastern Siberia, Alaska.

Place in the flower garden
The undersized aster is suitable for the design of alpine slides, garden paths, the foreground of complex mixborders, robots. Against the background of the lawn, the bushes planted in groups create a magnificent carpet pattern.

They will be a good background for tall phlox, echinacea, Gaillardia, erect clematis of the Intergrifolia group, bells. They look original against the background of gravel paths, ponds, stones.
Higher varieties are used in bouquets. Twigs with half-open inflorescences are cut early in the morning with the maximum amount of moisture inside the plants. Before placing in a vase, the ends are slightly split. With proper care, bouquets cost 1, 5-2 weeks without losing their decorative appearance. The water is changed daily.
