How to hang your TV correctly

An irreplaceable companion of our life is the TV. Today we do not put it, but hang it on the wall. The quality of the "picture" and our health depend on the correct location. How to choose a wall, arrange it according to the rules, calculate the height and correlate the screen size with the distance to the viewer? You will find the answers in this article

TV is a member of the family

The issue with the placement of the TV arises after its purchase, repair, in connection with the move or the acquisition of a country house. This is an important topic that is discussed by the entire family, but you still need to know the existing rules.

First, three main parameters are taken into account: the size of the room, the diagonal of the screen, and the distance to the audience. Second, the position of the user is determined. In the bedroom, naturally, you look while lying, in the living room, sitting. The most difficult thing is the kitchen: there are several seated spectators, the hostess moves from stove to table and spends a long time in the working area. Everyone should be comfortable.

In any case, you will be helped by the established criteria for the location, which suggest choosing a point in the range: from the floor of 70 cm to the maximum height of 1.75. It is important to create a comfortable viewing experience and avoid the negative for the eyes, which has a flickering screen.

Calculate the position of the screen

The height is chosen depending on the functionality and purpose of the room. Modern life presupposes the presence of several televisions in an apartment. Consider the location options in each room. There are only four such types: living room, kitchen, nursery, bedroom.

Living room

The central place where the family gathers, where we meet guests. Therefore, in the living room, it is wiser to use the center of the wall for the TV. The screen should be clearly visible from anywhere in the room, especially from the couch and armchairs. The age composition of the family is also taken into account. Children love to play on the floor, so this fact also needs to be taken into account. Our elderly parents may prefer to lie on the couch.

Everyone should be comfortable. Therefore, you need to independently calculate the distance from the floor. With all the options combined, find the average - this is the eye level of most viewers. No one should take an uncomfortable position with their head thrown back for viewing. Usually the TV is mounted lower in the living room than in other rooms.

The ideal distance of an average TV (22/24 inches) from a person is two meters. The distance should increase in proportion to the parameters of the diagonal. A small room involves the use of a "high hanging" technique - this helps to increase the distance to the audience. The same technique is useful in the kitchen or in a tiny bedroom.

The comfort of perception will help to improve the bracket. The device will correct for a comfortable tilt or turn. The most inappropriate location is the furniture niche. It limits the viewing angle if the distance to the panel is less than 20 cm.

Bedroom

There are fewer difficulties here. The viewer's point is obvious, so the wall opposite the headboard is chosen. If this is not possible, you can use the corner of the room and use the bracket.

The viewing of programs takes place from a lying position, so the height will depend on the height of the bed. To determine the exact place, you need to lie down, take a comfortable position and look at the wall, presenting the screen. At the same time, pay attention to the position of the head: the chin is not unnecessarily tilted towards the chest and is not raised. The height is proportional to the room, with a distance of more than 130 cm from the floor, the screen should be tilted.

Kitchen

Usually, the size of the kitchen is small and the room is characterized by the accumulation of dangerous potential: gas, many electrical appliances, plumbing. In addition, the walls are used by hanging furniture. Therefore, the choice of screen space is limited.

The TV set should not be near the stove, interfere with the movement of people and exclude the possibility of catching it with anything. It is advisable to maintain a two-meter distance from the viewer and the ability to adjust the tilt and swivel. Based on these requirements, the maximum distance from the floor is chosen, but not higher than the height of the hostess. Also, if possible, the footage from the dining and working table is taken into account.

A properly positioned TV will not cause health problems. Eyes, brain, spine will not be affected by watching TV programs.
