Why vinegar?
Firstly, there is vinegar in every kitchen, and secondly, it is a simple and affordable tool, repeatedly tested by thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of gardeners! Aphids do not tolerate too strong smell of this product, which means it makes sense to try it! And most importantly, vinegar is completely safe for both humans and crops! Yes, and any special skills for spraying with vinegar solution from the summer resident is also not required, which means that novice gardeners or gardeners can safely use it.
Which crops will vinegar help?
In the difficult task of fighting aphids, vinegar will become a real salvation for a number of fruit shrubs (gooseberries, currants, etc.) and trees (plums, cherries and apple trees with pears), for a huge number of indoor plants, flowering shrubs (especially roses) and vegetable crops (tomato, pepper, greens, cabbage and cucumbers), as well as for many other plants. And, among other things, vinegar is an excellent remedy for the prevention and treatment of a wide variety of fungal ailments!
How to use it correctly?
In no case should you use pure vinegar - an undiluted product is endowed with the ability to burn foliage, and in humans it can lead to damage to the mucous membranes or skin, or even to serious poisoning! Accordingly, it must be diluted with water before use. It is quite acceptable to add some other components to it to increase the efficiency of the resulting solution - especially the most common household soap, which ensures the best adhesion of the vinegar solution to the leaves of garden and vegetable crops, becomes a faithful companion of water and vinegar.
To process vegetation from aphids, ordinary table vinegar is taken, which is diluted with cool water - for each liter of water, one teaspoon of vinegar is taken. If vinegar essence is used, then three to four teaspoons of the product should be taken for ten liters of water, and when using apple cider vinegar per liter of water, you will need a tablespoon of this product.
And in order to significantly increase the effectiveness of the prepared solution, it makes sense to add some kind of soap to it - it can be either a well-known household soap, or absolutely any dishwashing detergent. With this approach, aphids will no longer be able to escape, since harmful insects will not only stick to the leaves, but also stick together!
As soon as the salvage solution is ready, it is immediately poured into a container with a spray and sent to reclaim a site from the gluttonous aphid.
How to spray?
Spraying is carried out on the leaves of plants, trying to process the leaves from all sides - they are especially carefully processed from below, while making sure that not a single aphid remains dry. As for the frequency of such treatments, it is recommended that they be carried out every three days, and they are carried out throughout the entire warm season (of course, if such a need arises - if the aphids can be overcome earlier, the treatments can be safely stopped or their number reduced to once in three weeks, solely for prevention).
