Perhaps, in each of us, no, no, and sometimes little Plyushkin wakes up, which prevents us from getting rid of unnecessary trash. From the apartment, we often carry a bunch of unnecessary things to the dacha, where their fate is almost a foregone conclusion - to gather dust in the bins of a barn or a country house, until they completely lose their original appearance. But is it worth it? Maybe there are things that it is better to get rid of right away without a twinge of conscience?

Excess items are one of the main causes of clutter at home. And all because it can be difficult for us to get rid of this or that object thanks to the notorious argument: "What if it comes in handy?" But it is important not to go to extremes, turning your house into Plyushkin's closet.

We offer an approximate list of items that you can get rid of right now: throw away, recycle, donate to people in need, or sell. Look - what if you find them in your room, regularly collecting dust?

Monkey glasses

Let's start with the glasses. It is worth immediately throwing out broken, cracked glasses. You don't need to save on your eyesight. If their frames are intact and expensive enough, go to the optometrist for advice - you may be able to restore the lenses. If there are still glasses prescribed for you according to the wrong prescription, then it is also better to throw them away, or donate to someone (they are unlikely to be sold).

Unnecessary office

If you are not going to refill your pens with ink in the near future, then maybe you shouldn't keep such troublesome and unnecessary accessories at home? Of course, unless it’s some kind of memorable gift.

It is also worth getting rid of the numerous paper clips from the stapler, which you practically do not use, or does not exist at all. Why clutter your desktop with them?

Kitchenware

Extra space in the kitchen is occupied by those containers that are generally not suitable for use, for example, due to a poorly closing lid. There is no need to store them on the kitchen shelves. Better to plant onions or herbs in them for growing on the windowsill. Do not store unnecessarily plastic containers with lids, disposable tableware if you do not need to use them.

Surely many people still have such a rare device as a waffle iron from Soviet times. Maybe you should send it to rest, sell it or donate it to collectors? No matter how durable and expensive dishes are, they eventually deteriorate. Find a better use for it than cluttering your kitchen.

Old clothes

They say that clothes that you have not worn for at least five years should be thrown away or given away without looking. But this is not easy to do. A good option is to update it or create something new out of it, for example, a patchwork rug or a blanket for a summer cottage. Throw away any worn socks or use them as a dusting cloth.

It is also worthless to dispense with shoes that bring you discomfort (too tight, rubbing, pinching, etc.). There is no need to put them in the closet until better times - donate them or sell them. And with broken umbrellas, you can go on a crayfish hunt, or cover young shoots. It is important not to store them at home.

Leftovers

Surely since the days of the Soviet deficit, many of us have become accustomed to putting aside even the smallest leftovers of food, supposedly for a “rainy day”. Imperceptibly, a bunch of small bags with a few drops of sauce, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, etc. appear in the refrigerator. Someone safely stores packages from set meals issued on planes and trains, or stores pots with a spoonful of porridge and soups for five days or more. The question is - why?

Extra press

Previously, the pioneers collected waste paper from apartments, but now they have to do it on their own. Did you notice old newspapers (more than 2 days old) or magazines on the coffee table? Feel free to send them to the dacha to light the stove or fireplace. You can also send piles of old postcards there (if you don't collect them), flyers, children's works (leave only the best ones), letters, etc.

Lovers of collecting coupons and promotional flyers, go through your paper treasures. You should not keep those of them that have expired a long time ago. If you are not a collector of wall calendars, then rather remove last year's copy and in the trash.

Dangerous cosmetics

How, at times, it is difficult to part with your favorite cosmetics. But it is worth remembering that after the expiration date, it can only harm. For example, it is better to prefer a fresh tanning cream rather than last year's one. Dig into your cosmetic bag - for sure you will find a lot of unusable gizmos that you can safely send to the trash can.

Disposal equipment

Have you changed the TV, but the remote control from the old "box" still flickers in front of your eyes? Feel free to use it for scrap or for sale. Do the same with all the old technology, with which you are not going to mess around further, creating something new out of it. Numerous cords cluttering up the balcony, old phones, chargers … - all this is extra rubbish for your home.
