Having today a huge selection of cosmetics and medicines, we forget about the representatives of the plant world, which have long been tested by the life experience of their ancestors, who store in their tissues many useful substances that can strengthen the hair, relieve the head from unpleasant dandruff, and give the hair silkiness and picturesque shine. And these plants are simple, omnipresent and strive to our feet, as if trying to recall the truths forgotten in the vanity of everyday life

The ubiquitous and picturesque Burdock

Among the two dozen species of the genus Burdock on our lands, two species are ubiquitous: Burdock felt (lat. Arctium tomentosum) and Burdock (lat. Arctium lappa). A person who is far from the intricacies of the science of "Botany", perhaps, will not be able to correctly correlate the appearance of a plant with its name. But, this is not so important, since the spindle-shaped and fleshy roots of these two species have the same healing abilities, including helping to strengthen hair and its active growth.

Autumn is the time when the roots of Burdock of the first year of life (Burdock is a plant with a two-year growing cycle) are ready to save a person from many ailments. Moreover, it is very simple to use this help. You should dig up the roots, shake off the remnants of the soil from them, remove the upper skin, finely chop and dry. In the future, ten to twenty grams of dry medicine are taken in a glass of boiling water and the elements of weak "fire" are given for fifteen minutes. The strained broth is used to nourish the hair roots two to three times a week.

Burdock oil, actively used for similar purposes, is prepared from just such roots.

Thunderstorm of mischievous - stinging nettle

Another ubiquitous and viable plant of the Russian expanses is Stinging nettle (Latin Urtica dioica). True, its healing leaves are harvested from May to July. Those who are friends with this burning weed and managed to stock up on the summer leaves of the plant know about the healing powers of Nettle.

To strengthen the hair, support its growth, rid the scalp of dandruff and greasy deposits, you need to be patient and during the winter months, just once a week, "treat" the scalp with nettle infusion. It is very simple to prepare the infusion: a tablespoon of crushed dry leaves is poured into a glass of boiling water. An hour later, the strained infusion is ready for a healing procedure. It is applied to the scalp, previously washed, rubbing lightly into the skin and not drying the hair with a hairdryer or dry towel.

Early blooming Mother and Stepmother

Those who have not been able to stock up on the above assistants should wait until early spring, when the sunny yellow flowers of Mother and Stepmother (lat. Tussilago farfara) will appear on the bare thawed patches, followed by the leaves of the plant. Traditional healers who help people strengthen hair prone to excessive hair loss, stimulate their growth, and also fight annoying dandruff, the leaves of Mother and Stepmother are in great esteem.

The leaves of a cold-resistant plant manage to accumulate in their plant tissues a unique wealth of chemicals that work wonders. To use the wonderful properties of the leaves for hair health, you should wash your hair with a strong decoction of Mother and Stepmother's herb.

An even greater effect in strengthening hair can be achieved if you use the leaves of Mother and Stepmother in conjunction with the leaves of Stinging Nettle. An infusion of two tablespoons of these herbs in a glass of boiling water is rubbed into the hair roots, after having filtered the infusion. The procedure is repeated a couple of times a week.

Onions, which is from seven ailments

For those who do not make friends with wild herbs, nature has created the Onion (Latin Allium cepa), which is found in almost every Russian home. Much more ailments are treated with onions than the seven mentioned in the Russian proverb. The miraculous abilities of Luke to improve the growth and appearance of hair were known to the ancient Egyptians, who actively used this knowledge.

Of course, in those legendary times, the pace of life was slower, and therefore it was not difficult for people to rub a couple of tablespoons of fresh onion juice into the hair roots once or twice a week, having washed their hair in two hours. But today we admire the shiny and thick hair of Egyptian beauties, looking at ancient relics.

If it's a pity to translate the Onion, you can use the husk from it, which is also rich in the necessary substances to strengthen the hair. An infusion is prepared from the husk (half a liter of boiling water, forty grams of husk, twenty minutes of infusion, straining), in which the hair is rinsed after washing.
