Description of yellow rhododendron

Rhododendron yellow is a shrub that can grow up to two meters in height. The leaves of this plant are oblong-obovate, thin, oblong-elliptical, ciliate, they can be either naked or fluffy on both sides. The length of the leaves of the yellow rhododendron will be about five and a half to twelve centimeters, and the width will be equal to two to eight centimeters. The flowers of this plant are collected in umbrella-shaped shields, the corolla can be painted in both yellow and orange tones, and outside such a corolla will be glandular, its length is three to four and a half centimeters. The corolla tube of yellow rhododendron is narrow-cylindrical, at the top it will be expanded, and the lobes themselves will be oblong. The box of this plant is also oblong, and its length will be about one and a half to two centimeters.

The flowering of yellow rhododendron occurs in the period from May to June. Under natural conditions, this plant is found in the Caucasus, Belarus, the Carpathians and the Dnieper region of Ukraine. As for the general distribution, this plant can be found in Asia Minor, the Balkans and Poland. For growth, this plant prefers mountains, forests and forest edges up to a height of two thousand meters above sea level. It is noteworthy that quite often the yellow rhododendron will form thickets.

Description of the medicinal properties of yellow rhododendron

Rhododendron yellow is endowed with very valuable medicinal properties, while for medicinal purposes it is recommended to use the roots and herbs of this plant. Grass includes leafy stems, flowers and leaves. the presence of such valuable healing properties should be explained by the content of phenols, tannins, essential oil, sitosterol, flavonoids, aldehydes, aromatic acids, phenol carboxylic acids, phenols, coumarins, triterpenoids, cardenolides and andromedotoxin diterpenoid in the composition of this plant.

An infusion prepared on the basis of the aerial part of yellow rhododendron will be endowed with very valuable antibacterial properties. The infusion and tincture of the leaves of this plant are endowed with sedative properties, have the ability to exert a bactericidal effect on putrefactive bacteria and staphylococcus, and will also have a cardiotonic effect. It is noteworthy that the essential oil of yellow rhododendron will have the ability to exert an inhibitory effect on the growth and development of tubercle bacillus.

It should be noted that in the experiment it was proved that a tincture based on this plant will increase performance. In addition, the experiment showed that the polyphenolic complex will have a hypotensive effect, and the amount of flavonoids in the leaves of yellow rhododendron will have a very effective anti-inflammatory and choleretic effect.

As for traditional medicine, it is recommended to use a decoction prepared on the basis of the roots of this plant in the form of baths, and is indicated for use in scabies in humans and animals. The root-based infusion is also used internally for rheumatism. Veterinary medicine uses tincture of leaves in small doses: such a remedy will have a positive effect on the cardiovascular system and the gastrointestinal tract of cattle, and in a decoction of yellow rhododendron leaves, cattle should be bathed in case of scabies.
