Rose mallow is one of the plants of the family called mallow, in Latin the name of this plant will sound as follows: Malva alcea L. As for the name of the family of mallow mallow itself, in Latin it will be like this: Malvaceae Juss.

Description of stock rose mallow

Stock rose mallow is a perennial herb, the height of which will fluctuate between forty and one hundred and twenty centimeters. The whole plant can be colored yellowish green or light green. The stem of the stock rose mallow will be branched, cylindrical and straight, it can also be simple, covered to the very top with tufted hairs. The rays of such hairs are protruding, and they are also endowed with an admixture of rather long, spaced hairs, which can be either simple or double-ended. The leaves of this plant will be petioled, with the lower ones being rounded or rounded, the middle leaves on shorter petioles, while the upper leaves will be three-dissected. The flowers of stock rose mallow are located at the top of the stem and are collected in umbellate or racemose inflorescences. The corolla of this plant will be quite large in size, about two and a half to three times the calyx. The corolla is painted in pink tones, and the petals will be gently sloping.

Under natural conditions, stock rose mallow is found on the territory of Ukraine, Belarus, as well as the following regions of the European part of Russia: Volzhsko-Don and Verkhnevolzhsky regions. For growth, this plant prefers garbage places, shrubs, parks and gardens.

Description of the medicinal properties of stock rose mallow

Stockrose mallow is endowed with very valuable medicinal properties, while for medicinal purposes it is recommended to use the roots and grass of this plant. Grass includes stems, leaves and flowers. The presence of such valuable healing properties should be explained by the content of fatty oil in the seeds of this plant.

The decoction, prepared on the basis of the flowers of stock rose mallow, is recommended for use as an anti-inflammatory, mucous, emollient and astringent for colitis, enterocolitis, gastritis, stomach and duodenal ulcers. In addition, such a healing agent is effective for various diseases of the respiratory system, including pneumonia and bronchitis.

The infusion, prepared on the basis of the aerial part of this plant, is used as a diaphoretic and antispastic agent, and is also used for gargling with various colds and inflammatory diseases. A decoction based on the roots of the aerial part of the stock rose mallow is indicated for use in blepharitis and conjunctivitis, and poultices of flowers and leaves of this plant are used for tumors.

It should be noted that the stems of this plant contain fiber, which is used for the production of cardboard and paper. It is noteworthy that young leaves of stock rose mallow are quite suitable for consumption as a substitute for spinach.

For all of the above diseases, it is recommended to use the following very effective remedy based on this plant: to prepare such a healing remedy, you will need to take one tablespoon of stock rose mallow flowers in one glass of water. The resulting mixture is boiled for a couple of minutes, insisted for an hour and filtered. Take the resulting drug based on stock rose mallow in half a glass or one third of it.
