Description of the Trans-Ural onosma

Trans-Ural Onosma is a biennial herb, the height of which will fluctuate between thirty and forty centimeters. The stems of this plant can be from one to five pieces, they will be less thick and weaker than in other species of onosma. Above, such stems are paniculate-branched, and with fruits they will be spread-branched, such stems are painted in whitish-green tones, while the stems will also be protruding-bristly. It should be noted that by the time of flowering, the basal rosettes of the Trans-Ural onosma will die off. The stem leaves of this plant will be linear-ribbon-like and quite numerous, their length will be about three to five centimeters, and the width will be identical. The curls of the Trans-Ural onosma are not very dense and small, the corolla length will be about fifteen to seventeen millimeters, from the outside such a corolla will be bare or rarely fluffy, while later it becomes open and brownish. The length of the Trans-Ural onosma nuts will be about three to four millimeters, they will gradually taper into a spout and such nuts will be painted in dark gray tones.

The flowering of this plant occurs in the period from May to June. Under natural conditions, this plant is found in Central Asia, the Angara-Sayan region of Eastern Siberia, the Irtysh and Verkhne-Tobolsk regions of Western Siberia, as well as in the European part of Russia. For the growth of the Trans-Ural Onosma, it prefers fallow lands, steppes and rocky slopes.

Description of the medicinal properties of the Trans-Ural onosma

In case of hypertension, to increase diuresis and headaches, it is recommended to use the following very effective remedy based on this plant: to prepare such a healing remedy, you will need to take three tablespoons of dry crushed grass of Trans-Ural onosma per four hundred milliliters of water. The resulting mixture should be boiled for about three to four minutes over a fairly low heat, then leave to infuse for about two hours and strain very thoroughly. The obtained healing agent is taken on the basis of the Trans-Ural onosma three times a day before the start of a meal, one fourth of a glass.

For insomnia, headache and hypertension, it is recommended to use such a remedy: for its preparation, take one tablespoon of herbs, two tablespoons of motherwort five-lobed and one tablespoon of medicinal sweet clover for one glass of boiling water. This mixture is insisted for three hours and filtered. Take such a remedy twice a day before the start of a meal, one third of a glass.
