The flowers of this plant will be numerous, they gather in a dense corymbose-paniculate inflorescence, such flowers are endowed with yellow rounded petals. The fruits of Potentilla tansy are smooth and oblong-ovate nuts.

The flowering of this plant occurs in the period from June to the month of August. Under natural conditions, this plant is found on the territory of Altai, Western Siberia, Angara-Sayan region of Eastern Siberia, as well as in Priamurye, Primorye and Okhotsk region of the Far East.

Description of the medicinal properties of Potentilla tansy

Tansy cinquefoil is endowed with very valuable healing properties, while it is recommended to use the roots and grass of this plant for medicinal purposes. The concept of grass includes flowers, stems and leaves of Potentilla tansy.

The presence of such valuable medicinal properties should be explained by the content of tannins, coumarin, catechin epicatechin and epigallocatechin, as well as the following flavonoids in the rhizomes: kaempferol, quercetin, quercitrin and astragalin. In the aerial part of Potentilla tansy, there will be essential oil, coumarins, catechins, tannins, phenol carboxylic acids. It is noteworthy that the flowers of this plant will contain ellagic acid.

As for Tibetan medicine, a decoction is quite widespread here, which is prepared on the basis of the roots and rhizomes of Potentilla tansy. Such a medicinal decoction should be used for pulmonary tuberculosis, gastrointestinal diseases, atherosclerosis, various colds, and such a decoction will also be part of the drugs that are used for diabetes. Outwardly, the roots of this plant are recommended for rinsing and for lotions. A decoction, prepared on the basis of the herb Potentilla tansy, is used for dysentery. The infusion of the flowers of this plant is used for diabetes.

For atherosclerosis, it is recommended to use the following remedy based on this plant: for the preparation of such a healing remedy, it is recommended to take ten grams of crushed roots and rhizomes of Potentilla tansy for three hundred milliliters of water. It is recommended to boil the resulting mixture over a fairly low heat for five minutes, after which such a mixture is left to infuse for two hours, then this healing mixture based on this plant should be filtered very carefully. Take the resulting healing agent based on Potentilla tansy three times a day, one third or one fourth of the glass.

For dysentery, the following remedy is used: take one tablespoon of chopped dry grass Potentilla tansy per one glass of water. The resulting mixture should be boiled for five minutes, then infused for an hour and filtered very carefully. Such a remedy is taken two to three times a day, half a glass or one third of it.
